Sometimes the most important piece of equipment we deploy… isn’t the drone.
It’s these signs.
Bright yellow. Simple. Direct.
Placed where people will see them — roads, intersections, the edges of neighborhoods.
Because when a dog goes missing, we’re not just searching…
we’re trying to connect the community to that dog in real time.
These signs do that better than anything else.
They work 24 hours a day.
They don’t miss a moment.
They don’t get tired.
They become silent sentinels in the area.
We’ve had it happen over and over again —
Someone drives past a sign in the morning…
Later that day, they see a dog moving through a field or crossing a road…
And something clicks.
They remember the sign.
They go back.
They take a picture of it.
Or they already did earlier, just in case.
And then the call comes in.
That one call — that one sighting —
can change everything.
Because in lost dog recovery, information is everything.
Knowing where a dog was… is often the first step to knowing where they’re going.
These signs turn an entire area into extra eyes.
Neighbors. Drivers. People walking their dogs.
People who otherwise would have no idea there’s a missing pet nearby.
Now they know.
And because they know… they can help.
Right now, we have 50 of these signs out in the field, working day and night across active cases — doing exactly what they’re designed to do: generate sightings.
I didn’t really have a choice… we had to order more.
And we ordered in quantity just to save a few dollars where we could.
Because they don’t sit on a shelf here.
They go straight out into the field… and they go to work.
These signs are a direct reflection of the support we’ve received — and continue to receive — from so many of you.
Whether you realize it or not…
you are part of these recovery missions.
Every share.
Every tip.
Every call.
Every bit of support that keeps this work moving forward…
It all shows up out there in the field.
That’s why we take these so seriously.
That’s why we deploy them strategically.
That’s why we ask for them to be returned when a case is closed —
so they can go right back out and help the next family.
This work is, and always will be, community-driven.
The drone helps us search.
The cameras help us watch.
The traps help us contain.
But these signs…
These signs help the entire community become part of the recovery.
And that’s where the real power is.
