National Wildlife Day is also a great reminder that wild animals belong in the wild. Appreciating them responsibly helps protect both wildlife and the people and pets who may encounter them.

🐱💛 September is Happy Cat Month! 💛🐱

A happy cat is about more than just treats and a cozy place to nap! Providing enrichment, opportunities to play, comfortable resting spaces, proper nutrition, and regular veterinary care can all help support your cat’s physical and emotional well-being.

Indoor cats especially benefit from an environment that encourages their natural behaviors like climbing, scratching, exploring, hiding, and hunting through play. 🐾

🐾 September is Animal Pain Awareness Month! 🐾

Our pets can’t always tell us when something hurts, and signs of pain can sometimes be subtle. Changes in mobility, appetite, activity level, grooming habits, sleep, or behavior may all be clues that your pet is uncomfortable.

Throughout September, we’ll be helping raise awareness about recognizing and managing pain in our animal companions. 💙

🐾 Labor Day Holiday Hours 🐾

In observance of Labor Day, Monday, September 7th, our hospital will be CLOSED for the holiday.

💊 Planning ahead?
If your pet will need prescription medications, prescription food, or other supplies, please contact us ahead of time so we can have everything ready for you before the holiday weekend.

We encourage everyone to take a quick peek at those medication bottles now, you never know when that last dose might sneak up on you! 🐶🐱

Dogs have a talent for deciding that some very questionable things belong in their mouths! 😅 But when dogs regularly eat non-food items, there may be more behind the behavior than simple curiosity.

✅ FACT: Most cats don't hate the carrier, they've learned to associate it with stressful experiences like car rides or vet visits.

You can help change that by:
🐾 Leaving the carrier out year-round.
🧸 Adding cozy bedding or favorite treats.
🎉 Rewarding your cat for exploring it on their own.
