One of the hardest parts of being a dog groomer is saying goodbye 💔🐾
When you groom the same pup for years, they become so much more than an appointment on your schedule. You learn their little quirks, what makes them nervous, what makes their tail wag, how they like to be held, and all the tiny things that make them them.
As groomers, we have the privilege of loving these pups through so many stages of their lives. We watch them grow, celebrate birthdays, notice the first little gray hairs, adjust our grooms as they get older, and eventually give them the extra patience and gentleness their senior bodies need.
And when one of them crosses the Rainbow Bridge, we feel that loss too. 🌈🐾
There’s an appointment that will no longer appear on the schedule. A name we won’t see pop up anymore. A familiar little face that won’t be walking through our door again.
To my fellow groomers—I know I’m not alone in this. We love these dogs like they’re part of our own extended furry family. ❤️
