Real talk

No one plans for something to happen to them.

Please discuss with your family or friends what your wishes are for you pet(s) in the event that the unexpected happens. And, if possible, set aside some funds to help care for your pet(s) ongoing care.

It’s never too soon to be prepared and we owe it to our pets to have a plan in place. Shelters are overcrowded and no place for your beloved pet to end up because you didn’t think something would happen to you or you just assumed your family would step up.

Reminder

I will be traveling throughout the summer so the boarding will look a bit different and availability will depend on how many dogs are scheduled to board.

To ensure we can plan ahead, PLEASE sort out your summer travel plans as soon as possible and remember all boarding must be booked a minimum of 7 days ahead.

Yesterday was one of those days you semi expect but hope will never happen.

A long term client hadn’t been feeling well. It was my day to walk her dog (a service i don’t typically provide but have continued to do only for this client).

When I entered her house Ben didn’t come charging at me barking as he normally does… things were still. And then I found my client deceased.

And now I have Ben.

He’s a man of advanced age with an advanced degree in attitude. It took me over a year to be able to touch him back when we first met years ago. He’s also the sweetest boy once he trusts you.

This is the thing about being a caretaker, you just never know when the role will change. I hope my client knows that her beloved Ben is safe with my family.

I certainly had no plan to add an older, bossy long haired chihuahua to the mix but life has a way of taking your plans and laughing.

Please plan ahead so we can accomodate!

When I am traveling this summer the ability to board will depend on how many dogs are scheduled each day. The earlier you book the better picture I have of the numbers

Hello and happy Spring!

Just an update that we are fully booked for boarding between April 18-22. We do have limited spaces between April 22-26.

We are looking forward to spending time with your pups❤️

Please use today to clear a safe path to your access points for van pickup which resumes tomorrow 2/25.

Please salt or sand in the mornings before pickup.

If your driveway is inaccessible, please plan to walk your dog to the van.

If you are not home for pickup and drop off, the access must be cleared and safe or else we can not provide service until it is.

Please let me know if you need to cancel service if your home is inaccessible.
