We would like to give a very warm welcome to Dr. Summer Fohl, who joined the SVH team in June. She is originally from central Connecticut and has earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the University of Rhode Island before pursuing her veterinary degree at St. Matthew's University School of Veterinary Medicine in the Cayman Islands. She completed her clinical training at the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine.
Now living in Pawcatuck, Dr. Fohl is happy to be back on the East Coast caring for pets and the families who love them. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys spending time with her two island rescue dogs, affectionately known as her "coconut retrievers," as well as relaxing at the beach, boating, painting, and spending time with friends and family.

Senior pets (7+ years) benefit from twice-yearly wellness exams. Catching age-related conditions early makes all the difference. 🐕‍🦺

Exotic pets — rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, reptiles — have specialized needs that differ greatly from dogs and cats. Make sure your vet is experienced with your specific species. 🐇
