My personal facebook account has been hacked and disabled. I have not had access to the account for 3 days. It's unlikely that I will be able to recover it. It's an unusual situation. Fortunately the hacker did not gain access to my business account and associated instagram account. So for now I have access to both. I replied to what I thought was an investigation into my instagram account by facebook. The request came through an email on my meta account, looked official and asked for a code that was texted to my cell phone. I nearly ignored the request, but unfortunately didn't. My recommendation, ignore any request from facebook to comply with request regarding anything todo with disabling your account. It's simply a scam.
