🐾 THIS IS WHY WE RAISE FOR CATS 🐾
Meet Winston. He came to AARF from a county shelter with wounds that wouldn't heal — our vet traced it to a bacteria common in coyote attacks. He'd lost vision in one eye and flinched at any touch near his healing wounds. He was scared, hurting, and needed more than we could give him in a day.
So we gave him six months. Our staff and volunteers sat with him, medicated him, earned his trust one small moment at a time. He learned to play again. To purr again. He even became the gentlest big brother to every kitten who came through our doors. 🐈
On a Saturday not long ago, Winston went home — to people who love him exactly as he is, scars and all.
That's what AARFstravaganza: Raising for Cats is all about. 💕 Every ticket, every sponsorship, every dollar raised on September 19 at the Oakhurst Solarium goes straight toward giving the next Winston the time, the care, and the chance he deserves.
