Every ticket to AARFstravaganza 2026: Raising for Cats helps fund AARF's Community Cat Program — which fixes over 100 community cats every year right here in Stone Mountain.

Denali and Everest are bonded siblings looking for their forever home together. Denali is gregarious and will be your instant friend. Everest, who is equally sweet, is deaf and looks to his sister for cues. Both love to play and are always ready to clock in for a snuggly shift at the biscuit factory 😻😻

An AARF employee found this cutie on Rockbridge Rd. She was wearing a harness but no collar or tags. We scanned her, and she didn't have a microchip, so she had to go through the intake process with Dekalb County. She was friendly, sweet, and very polite while she was with us. When Winston arrived to us from a county shelter, he was hurting — inside and out. Our vet, Dr. Rosie, discovered his wounds contained a rare bacteria found in wolves, coyotes, and foxes, leading us to believe this sweet boy had survived a violent coyote attack and somehow broke free to fight another day.

He came to us traumatized. He'd lost much of the vision in one eye, and he flinched at any touch near his shoulders and neck, right where his wounds were healing. We knew there was a sweet, snuggly boy in there — but both his body and his spirit needed time.

So we gave him time. For over 6 months, our staff and volunteers sat with Winston, medicated him, and slowly earned his trust. And Winston? He showed up for himself every single day. He took his meds like a champ. He learned to play again. He found his purr again. 🐈

Along the way, he became the best big brother any kitten could ask for — cuddling them, playing with them, and grooming their little heads with so much patience and love.

And then his people found him. 💕 On Saturday, Winston left AARF for his forever home — with two people who love him exactly as he is, scars and all. He's already found his sunny spots and settled right into a life of cuddles.

We couldn't have saved Winston without you. And we can't create the next Winston happy ending without you either. 🐾 Your support is what makes stories like his possible.
