Thatโ€™s one of the things I love most about Equine Assisted Learning.

The horses have a way of showing us whatโ€™s working, whatโ€™s not, and where a small shift can make a BIG difference โ€” all without saying a word.

Itโ€™s hands-on.

Fun Day Friday apparently decided to end with a little drama. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Iโ€™m trying to beat the rain and finish mowing the pasture when the sky starts getting darkerโ€ฆ thunder starts rollingโ€ฆ and not cute little thunder either.

Iโ€™m talking THOR IS COMING thunder. โšก๏ธ

And thenโ€ฆ

The mower dies.

Not because something broke.

Because I ran out of gas. ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ

Naturally, Iโ€™m nowhere near the barn.

And because the electric fence is on, I canโ€™t even take the shortcut. So now Iโ€™m hiking all the way around the pasture, hoping I can find a gas can and get back before the heavens completely open up.

Meanwhile, the mower is just sitting there in the field like:

โ€œYep. Sounds like a you problem.โ€ ๐Ÿ˜‚

Farm life is glamorous, they said.

Peaceful, they said.

Sure. Until youโ€™re racing a thunderstorm with an empty gas tank.

And just to make it interesting, the tonneau cover is folded up in the front of the truck bed, so visibility isโ€ฆ shall we sayโ€ฆ less than ideal.

My husband called and said, โ€œThatโ€™s really difficult.โ€

Me: โ€œIt only took me a couple tries.โ€ ๐Ÿ˜Ž

But here's the funny thing about farm life: you get good at doing things you once weren't sure you could do.

You try.
You adjust.
You try again.
And eventually you look around and thinkโ€ฆ

That's one of the things I love about working with horses, too. Confidence doesn't usually show up ๐›๐ž๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ๐ž we do the hard thing.

It gets built because we did it.
