📊 By the Numbers: Making a Difference Together 🐾

Over the past three months, thousands of animals have come through our doors, and every single one has had a story. Thanks to our staff, volunteers, adopters, rescue partners, fosters, and community, so many of those stories have led to new beginnings. ❤️

From June through August 2026:
🏠 2,905 animals came into our care
❤️ 698 animals were adopted
🚐 724 animals were transferred to rescue partners
🐾 166 animals were reunited with their owners

That’s 1,588 animals who left the shelter through adoption, rescue, or by making their way back home.

Thank you for adopting. Thank you for fostering. Thank you to our rescue partners for saying yes. And thank you to everyone who supports the work happening at Stockton Animal Services every day.

Together, we’re making a difference—one animal at a time. 💙🐾

🐾 Spay and Neuter Clinic Sign Ups Begin TODAY August 14th

Stockton Animal Services is partnering with Animal Balance and SF SPCA to offer FREE spay and neuter surgeries for qualifying dogs and cats 🐶🐱

Spaying and neutering helps pets live healthier lives, prevents unwanted litters, and plays a critical role in reducing the number of animals entering our shelter. This clinic is part of our ongoing effort to provide accessible resources that support responsible pet ownership in our community.

⚠️ By appointment only. Limited spots available and they will fill quickly.

How to sign up:

• Phone number
• Address
• Dog or cat
• Pet’s weight
• Male or female

Emails will be responded to in the order they are received.
📍 1661 W. Fremont St
📅 August 28th, 29th and 30th

Pets will be dropped off and picked up the same day.

🏡 registration for this clinic is open to district 6 residents only and proof of residency will be required. Additional districts will be served through future clinics.

By working together we can keep pets healthy, reduce shelter overcrowding, and strengthen our community.
