K.Clarke Equine LLC

K.Clarke Equine LLC K.Clarke Equine specializes in horse & rider biomechanics for all disciplines & levels with a strong emphasis on enhancing functional soundness.

Home to Racewood Eventing Simulator and Novel Sensors for riders. Kendra Clarke is a Level 2 Centered Riding instructor, specializing in horse and rider biomechanics. Kendra’s philosophy is that “mindful riders create successful horses” through the productive use of self, that allows horses to showcase their natural talent. Kendra has trained with many FEI trainers, most notably Louise Davison of

Tamworth, England. There Kendra rode Louise’s many upper level horses, and rode her Grand Prix schoolmaster under the watchful eyes of Conrad Schumacher. While in England, Kendra also learned from Carl Hester and Sandy Phillips as they taught Louise on a regular basis. In the United States, Kendra has spent countless hours alongside David Donnelly of French Light Dressage, where he taught her the teachings of Nuno Oliveria and Boucherist schools. There she continues to refine the art of teaching classical French dressage movements to both horses and riders, emphasizing in correct upper level movements. Kendra graduated from Delaware Valley College with an Equine Training degree and spent a semester at Hartpury College (Gloucester, England) where she studied equine biomechanics. She has also earned her Master’s in Business Administration at Delaware Valley University (formerly college). The combination of equine biomechanics and rider biomechanics creates a dynamic training experience. Before focusing on biomechanics, Kendra also competed in the hunter/jumper rings, reining and western riding, and low level eventing. Her wide variety of knowledge among different disciplines has created approachable techniques for any and all riders or horses. She continues to compete in USDF rated shows, and produce students in dressage, eventing, and hunter/jumpers at all levels. Other services available including: fully insured trailering, certified equine sports massages, and braiding and grooming services.

Since my (non-riding but still horse related) concussion I’ve switched to only wearing Snell rated helmets. You only have one head, protect it!!!!

Learning to ride isn't a straight line. It never was.

If you've ever felt like you were getting worse just when you thought you were getting better, this one is for you.

Learning any complex skill - and riding is one of the most complex there is - doesn't follow a smooth upward path. It feels more like a rollercoaster. And understanding why that is changes everything about how you experience the process.

When you start learning something new, it's hard. Your brain and body are working flat out just to process what's being asked of them. Gradually, with repetition and time, it starts to click. Things that felt impossible begin to feel possible. You find your trajectory and progress feels real.

And then you plateau.

This is not a problem. This is the point.

That plateau is where the skill embeds itself properly. Where what you've learned stops being something you have to think about and starts becoming something you just do. Staying in that place for a while - consolidating before moving on - is not stagnation. It's the foundation for everything that comes next. Think of each point of consolidation as a gatekeeper - building a buffer around your progress so that if you have a wobble further down the line, you won't go all the way back to the beginning. You'll only ever regress to your last point of embedding.

This is also why rushing that process works against you. Ask too much too soon and the nervous system doesn't just struggle - it pulls back. The comfort zone shrinks rather than grows. And what felt like a shortcut becomes a much longer road.
Then we ask something new of you. And for a while, it feels like you've gone backwards.

You haven't.

Nobody learns a new skill without getting it wrong first. That's not a detour from the process - it is the process. You're gathering information. Working out what works and what doesn't. Your brain is doing exactly what it's supposed to do, it just doesn't feel that way from the inside.

This is why we don't rush progression. Not because we don't believe in you. Because we understand what learning actually looks like - and we'd rather you embed something properly than move on before you're ready and spend twice as long unpicking it later.

The rollercoaster isn't a sign something is wrong. It's a sign something is happening.

Jayde knew the real reason why was at the barn, for her of course 😉

Huge thank you to Tara for helping for 5 years (where has the time gone?!) from website design, built and stepping up for any project I toss her way! Soon we’ll have more information about the .official sensors on my website and social media!

.official loadpads + Blue the = more data, more improvements for riders 🤩

I’ve worked with this rider for a few years and today we analyzed the pressure she puts in her stirrups while posting. The changes were absolutely amazing and so helpful for her riding her real horse. Little details like where and when your weight moves matters!!

First .official sensor lessons done! It was absolutely amazing to watch these riders feel tinier details and changes in their bodies with the feedback I was instantly able to provide with this realtime data. The horses showed incredible changes and pieces that have been a struggle in training were sorted out so efficiently!

These sensors have gone above and beyond what I hoped for in providing a new training environment for changes in the riders. I cannot wait to continue working with riders with these!

And of course, the helpful barn cats were an added bonus 😉

Interested in how these sensors can help your riding? Shoot me a DM or comment below! I’ll have more to share soon after my amazing marketing team and I get some content built!
