Update: We were contacted by someone who was at the shelter and asked if we could help get Koda out, and we understood from that conversation that his situation was urgent. We shared that information because our priority is getting dogs to safety. We understand the shelter has since clarified that Koda was not being publicly identified as being on a euthanasia list, and we will continue working with the shelter professionally to help Koda.

We’ve had a lot of interest in Koda. We just need a commitment. He’s safe for now.

🚨 URGENT — KODA IS ON THE EUTHANASIA LIST! 🚨

The shelter is full, and Koda is next. 💔

Koda is a 7-year-old Norwegian Elkhound from Scranton, PA, and he has so much life left to live. His owner passed away, and through no fault of his own, Koda ended up in a shelter. Now his life is at risk simply because the shelter is out of space.

🙏 Can someone please save Koda? He deserves a second chance, a safe place, and a family to love him.

I’ve just been sniffing around here at the shelter wondering how I got here. One minute I was comfy on my dog bed. Then they said do you want to go bye-byes? I of course love to go so I hopped in the car. Then I ended up here. I’ve been waiting for my family to come back. But don’t know where they are. Can you help me?
