Hi everyone 💜
I’m sorry it’s been so long since I’ve given a real update. If you’ve been following our page, you know last year was incredibly rough for me personally and for our rescue. One thing I couldn’t bring myself to share at the time was that I had to say goodbye to my heart chinchilla, Yuki. She passed last April from lung cancer. Writing those words still hurts. She was the reason I started Pandamonium Pets 11 years ago and truly felt like my daughter. Losing her broke me in ways I wasn’t ready to talk about.
On top of that, we faced the fires last year, several heartbreaking rescue cases, and the losses of Stewie, Ghost, and Lena. Then, at the start of this year, we lost Nebula (our ferret) to nerve disease, and Luna, her cage mate, was diagnosed with spleen cancer. She’s still living her best, spoiled “queen life” in her final months. 💜
Most of them were older, but the timing still hit so hard. Lena and Nebula passed due to genetic issues, which is why we always stand firmly against backyard breeding.
After so many hits in a row, I really needed a mental break. So thank you for being patient with my absence and for staying with us even when I wasn’t able to explain everything.
This year brought some light back into my life: we were fortunate to get our new store. Yuki will always be the heart of Pandamonium Pets, and my mission will always be to honor her by rescuing, educating, and providing proper supplies for small and exotic animals.
Business & Online Store Updates:
Like many small businesses, tariffs and inflation hit us hard. We also had sudden supply issues when our powder coating partners became too overwhelmed to continue processing our products at a normal pace. Because of that, custom and metal items have been delayed. I’m working on reaching out to everyone affected, thank you for your patience during this chaotic time.
The good news: we are setting up our own powder coating system on our property! 🎉
We should be fully set up by July. After that, wheel and metal processing times will finally be MUCH faster. We even have a new wheel design coming soon, it’s sturdier, easier to make, and will help eliminate those long wait times. I’m excited to share it in June or July!
We also have dozens of new products I haven’t been able to post yet, but I know you all will love them. Our website is getting a complete revamp to make it easier to use, with lower shipping to Canada and more rewards coming too.
As a small business, big changes take time, and I’m truly sorry to anyone who experienced long waits or slower communication during this period. Burnout hit hard after losing the little soul who inspired everything. But I’ve been healing, rebuilding, and finding that spark again.
A very special announcement:
We are planning to create Yuki’s Adoption Center at our original store location, dedicated to saving and supporting even more small and exotic animals in her honor. 💜

Messages and emails are still taking me a few days to get through, but I will be training someone to help with communication now that we’re growing.
