We were very patient during the Monday morning errands, so we got a trip to Block 34 to let kiddos pet us and then Empire Slice House - Stillwater where we know mom (Susan) is saving her pizza crust (pizza bones!) for us! Loving their pink dog bowls!

There has been at least one confirmed case of rabies in Roger Mills County this year, and cases across Oklahoma have been higher than usual this year. Rabies is a deadly disease that can affect both animals and people, but the good news is that it’s preventable through vaccination.

👉 If you own or regularly come into contact with animals—whether pets, livestock, or working animals—it’s important to make sure they are properly vaccinated against rabies.

Why it matters:

• Rabies is almost always fatal once symptoms appear.

• Vaccinating animals is the best protection for your family, neighbors, and community.

• Even animals you may not think of—like barn cats, dogs on the farm, or horses—should be protected.
