Charlie is officially off of quarantine and meeting new friends, posted below are photos are progressed from 4weeks ago to today! He has put on almost 200lbs with a couple hundred more to go! He has started going for walks down the driveway and exploring his new temporary home! Unfortunately after having Charlie's teeth floated it looks like he won't ever be able to eat long stem hay but he can successfully eat short grass and hay cubes

Meet Tessa (formerly Tara)! Tessa was surrendered to us after her owner fell onto some health and financial difficulties and their current boarding facility is closing. She is a roughly 19yo Missouri Fox Trotter mare who has been a trail rider and pasture pet her whole life! She is being treated for founder and possible Cushings as well as having overgrown feet. Once she is back in tip top shape she will go through assessment to figure out what she knows and then she'll be ready for her new home!

Charlie (aka Maddox) has been here just over 1 week and in that time he has seen the farrier to get his feet done and today her got his teeth done by our wonderful vet!! Unfortunately he did have 2 teeth pulled so may struggle to eat long stem hay and he was aged closer to mid 20s by our vet. Charlie has also gained nearly 100lbs this past week and weighs in at 983lbs!!

Meet Maddox (open to name suggestions, human type to match our current theme!), this 18yo gelding was retired from a trail riding string and dumped at a kill lot, from there he was bailed and abandoned for just shy of a week. The property owner who was caring for him reached out to us and asked us to take him in. We couldn't say no! After he puts some weight on and gets proper vet and farrier care, his temperament and level of training will be evaluated and he will be up for adoption! Welcome Home Maddox
