This image is FAKE.

A local pet owner recently contacted me after her cat went missing. While she was desperately searching, she was contacted by a page calling itself "Nighthawk Drone Service" (NOT my page, Nighthawk Drone Services with the blue verification checkmark).

They convinced her to send money before even conducting a search. Then, before it was even dark outside, they sent her this AI-generated image claiming they had already found her cat.

Look closely: • The photo is clearly taken in daylight. • The crate labeling and details are inconsistent. • The image was generated to create a sense of relief and urgency. • After sending the photo, they demanded MORE money to "deliver" the cat they never had.

This is one of the cruelest scams I've seen because it targets people during one of the most emotional and vulnerable moments of their lives.

When your pet is missing, you're scared, exhausted, and willing to do almost anything to bring them home. Scammers know that.

⚠️ Please protect yourself and your loved ones: ✔️ Never send money simply because someone claims they found your pet. ✔️ Ask for a live video call showing the animal. ✔️ Verify the person or company you're speaking with. ✔️ Check reviews, past rescues, and real success stories. ✔️ Be cautious of pages using AI-generated images as "proof." ✔️ If something feels off, get a second opinion before sending money.

For those who follow my work, you know my stance has always been simple:

I care far more about helping families than collecting money.

If you ever have questions about whether a message, page, or rescue service is legitimate, please reach out. I'd much rather spend five minutes helping someone verify a situation than see another family taken advantage of.

Let's spread awareness and make it harder for scammers to prey on families searching for their beloved pets.

💔 A missing pet is heartbreaking enough. Don't let someone turn that heartbreak into a financial scam too.

Can ya’ll please stop “rescuing” kittens and rehoming them… FOR FREE!!!???

you’re actually not “rescuing” them, what you’re doing is contributing to the pet overpopulation crisis. if you’re rehoming kittens that are not vaccinated and (arguably) most importantly not fixed, you’re NOT helping!

what “rescuing” kittens really looks like…

-Not taking neonate kittens away from where you found them until you’re absolutely sure mom isn’t around

-Taking any found kittens to a local rescue or shelter SO THAT THEY CAN BE VACCINATED, SPAYED/NEUTERED, and THENNNN rehomed

While rehoming kittens you found or that your cat unexpectedly had or that your friends cat had is usually done with good intentions, it does a lot more harm than good in the long run.

Please, PLEASE, trust me when I say… taking them to a shelter or rescue isn’t a death sentence… it’s a life and rehabilitation sentence… one that will hopefully reduce the amount of kittens we see next time around.

Please stop trying to rescue every kitten family you see! Right now they are better off with their mom outside!! There are not enough places for them to go. Unless you have a place to care for them until they can be spayed/ neutered vaccinated, or can help fund their care, leave them be! Those of you screaming just save them, you go save them but do it properly, saving them is not grabbing them then giving away, this is actually probably more harming. They are fine outside with mom to protect and feed them.

Trixie & Pixie still looking for their homes. These two were rescued as tiny bottle, babies, now, they are almost a year old and sweet As ever. I have had lots of inquiries and applications, but each and every one has not come through with finalizing the adoption, at no fault of their own, due to adopters, just not being ready.

Cannot get any sweeter two kittens than these 2. They are very bonded, so they must be adopted together, thay take care of each other.

Just this week rescued this momma cat, believed to have been left behind a year ago when someone moved. She kept trying to get into house, sleeps there, now had her second litter there.

Spent hours and hours trying to catch her babies, she was no problem, sweet as can be she is! Babies were another story, she got mad and moved them to a more difficult location. Finally after $100 of gas, tank refills, going back and forth to location until I got them all. Now in foster, thank you Erin for temporary foster until Ann has Her area ready to foster...Thank you Ann.

So when I say I have been 🤪 crazy or crazy busy, I'm not joking or playing around!!!
With several very sick cats at the rescue I care for, over 10p cats cared for between rescue, outside, feral enclosure and feral colonies and 28 mom's and kittens in Foster....I cannot fo alone.

I think the volunteers I have, they are awesome!! But need more, need more fosters, need adoptors, need supplies@

Oh we also need paper towels , litter BAD! FOOD for the shelter/rescue cats...besides any donations you can give....oh don't forget a ton of kitten food.

There are 6 littles and a mom in foster, all very sick, mom is tame, but need constant care and we need supplies! Kitten food, p*e pads, kibble, money.

They will all be ready in 4 weeks so ADOPTORS get ready!!

Still trying to find where in the woods mom relocated these guys 4 of them....
Now you wonder why I am so busy, worn out.

Plus out there looking for lost cats and dogs. Taking calls to instruct and help where I can.

Can one of you or ten supporters help volunteer care, help trap, help clean and feed at rescue?

Some of the kittens saved as bottle babies from Grasonville, momma left them. They were only a day old, emaciated, dehydrated. We lost one boy early on...my he rest easy sweet baby.

We will need homes for them in 4 weeks. We need funds to vet, vaccinated and spay neuter them in a few weeks.

Contribute to these guys and the rest of the kittens we have in our care, monetary or supplies, kitten kibble wet food.

This family needs caught, but just can't right now, have no places for them to go right now. Don't have enough funds to care for each and every kitten family people catch or call about. But they are next on my list as soon as we can.
