The road construction has been tough on a lot of us Southside businesses. Road traffic is down to 0, sales are down, and we're all doing our best to weather the storm together.

So we decided to spend the next week highlighting a few of our amazing Southside neighbors and giving away some gift certificates to their businesses!

Ya see, we stopped by a few local Southside businesses and were met with smiles and good vibes almost everywhere we went! It's always refreshing to be reminded just how many awesome people are out there working hard, supporting their communities, and cheering each other on. ❤️

Over the next week we'll be featuring a few of these businesses and giving you a chance to win a gift certificate from each one.

Check out these colorful pups!

Each June, millions of people gather to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community. In New York, in June 1969, police raids took place at the Stonewall Inn against the LGBTQ+ community. For 6 days, people protested and fought back against the harassment from the police and those against the community. A year later, in June 1970, the very first organized Pride march took place. In 1999, Pride month was officially recognized at the federal level.
Today, the community still faces harassment. So far this month, over 1 million people have celebrated Pride throughout the US.... and it's not over yet!
Stevens Point had hundreds of attendees this year!

The month of Pride isn't just about supporting those who are part of the LGBTQ+ community, but also promotes self-affirmation and honors the impact the community has had on history.

We're hiring!

We are looking to have an experienced groomer or someone looking to learn bathing and become a groomer!

Groomers: We are looking for someone who is full or part time to join our team this late summer or fall.

Bathers: We are looking for someone who is willing to start part time and gain more hours as their skills grow starting in the fall.

Standard hours are Monday-Friday 9-5.
Part time hours would need to be morning-mid day availability minimally.

We are a low volume salon focused on low stress grooming along with skin and coat health.

Have you met our amazing team member Kylie?

Next time you stop down congratulate Kylie on one year with us at The Downtown Dog!

She started as our Receptionist last June and has taken on so many rolls here. She helps as our cat grooming assistant, cat bather, dog bather and will be training to become a groomer over the next year. She has been an AMAZING addition to the team. Congratulate her next time you see her on all her hard work and her passion for animals.
