Finished the last of the fencing around the new sheep pasture. They were more then happy to finally be allowed to get out into the pasture after watching it grow all spring.

Made a batch of strawberry rhubarb jam today. I harvesing 10 pounds of rhubarb yesterday and letting the strawberries and rhubarb macerate overnight with the sugar. It's so yummy and the house still smells so good.

A few days ago, I did one of the most nerve-wracking things I've ever done on my little homestead. While it was nerve-wracking, my garden and all my plants will thank me. I set up a bee hive and moved the bees with a bit of instruction from those who know what's their doing. Today was the first day to check on them after set up and moving and they are doing great. Got to see several beds come back covered in pollen already. If you look closely, you'll see a few of them.

Last weekend my sheep got sheared and their hoofs trimmed. They were happy to get all the extra wool off. I look forward to the day when I can start spinning their wool, just need a few more essentials to help me clean and card the fleece before I can spin it. If you couldn't tell, I love all my babies.
