🎉🐾 Welcome Bear and his amazing family to the Ridgeside K9 family! 🐾🎉

Bear, the sweet Golden Retriever pup, just graduated his 3 week Board and Train program and his transformation was truly remarkable!

Bear struggled badly with a constant lack of impulse control, inability to settle/relax, fixation with having inappropriate (often dangerous!) items in his mouth, and his owners were truly not sure how they were going to continue managing him and keeping him safe. Bear also lacked confidence and appropriate social interactions with other dogs, which placed a lot of limitations on him.

3 weeks of time spent establishing rules, boundaries and a clear system of communication, and Bear truly THRIVED! The confidence he gained, combined with the knowledge and skills his family now has, have set them up for a long life of enjoyment ahead! 🥰🐾

Graduation day has arrived for Mia, and what an incredible transformation it's been! Over the 3 weeks she spent with me, this energetic little Puerto Rican street dog learned so much. From impulse control and leash manners, to understanding a reliable recall for her safety, Mia is now equipped with the skills she needs to thrive in any environment. Her hard work, paired with her owner’s dedication, has set the stage for a lifetime of adventures and growth. We couldn't be more excited to see where their journey takes them next – the best is yet to come!

🎉 Rags to Riches: Meet Markley, the mixed breed rescue pup! 🎉

Markley, the most unique and adorable little shaggy dog from Washington, DC, recently completed his 3-Week Board & Train with RSK9 Trainer Britney!

Before training, Markley’s mom expressed some legitimate concerns regarding Markley’s lack of impulse control, as well as his reactivity on leash and towards adult men. Our focus for Markley was clear communication, establishing boundaries, and building his confidence to help him thrive in everyday life.

Meet Niko, the Pitbull mix, who just completed a 3 week Behavior Modification board and train
program with us! Niko came to Ridgeside K9 to work on his reactivity towards other dogs and improve his overall obedience reliability. After focused training, he has made amazing progress and is ready to show off his new skills!

- Mastered waiting politely when mom is greeting others

🎉🐾 Welcome Roo and his amazing family to the Ridgeside K9 family! 🐾🎉

Roo just graduated our 5 week Service Dog Prep Program where we focused on really tightening his obedience skills and making sure he can be neutral to very challenging, highly distracting environments! Roo was such a fun little guy and he truly thrived with the concept of having a “job”.

At the conclusion of training, we conducted a Public Access Test with Roo and his mom as a team, which they passed with flying colors!

Molly & Pippin the Australian Labradoodle girls recently graduated our 3 week Board & Train Program after coming to me to work on things like reliable off leash recall, impulse control around visitors, pulling on leash, etc.

These sweet girls were an absolute joy to work with and though both very unique in their own personalities and temperament, they excelled through the process of learning clear rules and boundaries!

Gunner just graduated from our 3 week Behavior Modification Program! Gunner’s owners were concerns about the increase in reactivity they had begun to observe since relocating to Northern Virginia. With their new home being in a much more urban area, they wanted to ensure Gunner would be reliable and under control with his obedience.

After 3 weeks of conditioning Gunner to a new system of communication and working on his overall neutrality, he returned home a dramatically improved version of himself!
