We’re ISO a client with a well bred 2 year old!!

I’ve got something on my radar next year that I really want to do. The 3 year old ranch riding futurity at the Paint World Show in Fort Worth. It’s the IRHA show so it does not need to be a paint.

My initial plan was to buy a young horse of my own to pursue this but the sale of two personal horses has been pushed back so I don’t yet have room to buy another personal prospect.

So I decided to put it out there and see if anyone has a horse that fits, with some aligned goals!

This is a unique offer with discounted training rates! Unstarted or lightly started is just fine! But we need to get going ASAP for this to work out.

Please reach out if you have a papered 2 year old Quarter Horse that you’d like to be well trained in ranch riding and versatility. 🤠

I know y’all thought I retired my BIG buckle to the buckle holder but nope!! Wore it to the Monday night 2-man golf scramble and got the W!! 🏆 Of course in large part thanks to my dad who was on my team!

But I couldn’t miss the opportunity to wear this bad boy again and let the glare get in the eyes of my opponents. 😜😎

Here’s a link to Katie and Merlin’s freestyle from the gypsy show! 🤩🤩🤩
I played it a little safe since this Merlin’s never done bridleless or Liberty outside of our home arena! We’ll perform again at nationals in a couple weeks!! 🥳

When the judge calls for a halt from a canter.. but you’re just a western horse in English clothes. 🙊🤣🤣

Congratulations to Pam McMillan Walters and her gelding Troupadours Lord Liam! Liam had many top 6 finishes today at the GHSA Region 1 Championship show. He held his own in some very big classes!

Buuuut his most notable finishes are his unanimous victory in his Ranch Trail class, and he topped the leaderboard in the EXTREME trail jackpot!! He was in a class of 13 for Ranch Trail and I think 19 for the Extreme!

The Extreme Trail was a timed event where each obstacle had a point value. The more difficult the obstacle the more points it was worth. There was no pattern and no judging. Each rider had two minutes to accumulate the most points possible. There was definitely strategy involved in mapping a course and picking things your horse could do the quickest and good enough to earn points. It wasn’t judged (aside from an overall horsemanship score) but it was policed to ensure a minimum level of acceptance for every obstacle completed. It was A TON of fun!! We all got to let our hair down and add speed!! 🕺🏻

It’s been a great show so far and we really appreciate GHSA and Heather for putting it on!

Looking forward to showing Liam at nationals in just 3 weeks!! 😱

For size reference, Liam’s Ranch Trail buckle on the left…my, “I’m kind of a big deal” buckle on the right. 🤣🤣

The buckle case adds a level of hilarity to it all!

Thanks GHSA for keeping it fun!! 🤣🤠😎
