How often do you see people online looking for a dentist recommendation and you go to recommend your horse dentist only to realize people go to the dentist too? It’s every time for us. 🤣 Raise your hand if you’re more on top of your horses teeth than your own. 🙋🏻‍♂️🙋🏼‍♀️😂

We currently have an on site equine dentist if anyone is in need!! 🦷 🤓

Come see us at the Bluebonnet Horse Expo in October!!

We’re thrilled to have Craig and Katie return for the 2026 Bluebonnet Horse Expo on October 3 in Taylor, Texas with two training demonstrations that every horse owner, whether novice or experienced, can learn from.

In the Main Arena at 11:30 – Trailer Loading Fundamentals: Before you ever lead your horse to the trailer, what are some basic skills and confidence building techniques you can use to make that first trailer experience non-stressful for you and your horse.

In the Warm Up Arena at 4:00 – First Five Things to Teach Every Horse.: You just adopted or brought a new horse home, now what. Start them off on the right hoof by teaching these key skills. This session will be especially helpful to new adopters, foster homes and new horse owners.

Craig and Katie are a married horse training duo, they operate Moore Horsemanship in Stephenville. They spend their days training horses for the public and raising their beautiful daughter Rylee. They compete in Mustang Makeover competitions and have over 20 top 10 finishes and 6 first place victories, combined. Craig was a 2021 Road To The Horse Wild Card Competitor and enjoys helping others through horse training, lessons, and clinics. Katie focuses her time on training and showing her young stallion, riding her mustang, and raising their toddler.

They have experience in c**t starting, roping, ranch riding, jumping, hunt seat equitation, trail obstacle challenges, EXCA, tricks, liberty, and problem solving. They’ve also trained and shown a variety of breeds from mustangs to Quarter Horses, draft breeds, Welsh Cobs, Thoroughbreds, Paints, gaited breeds, warmbloods, and many mixed breeds.

They bring a down to earth honest perspective when helping clients and do their best to help clients find or create the horse that’s right for them. You can find them on Facebook at Moore Horsemanship.

How to tell if you got an easy Mustang or not:
Step 1: turn Mustang loose in large area.
Step 2: introduce leaf blower.
Results:
Stay = easy peasy.
Trots away = eh, not bad, most domestic horses would.
Runs away at Mach speed = probably normal.
Also jumps the fence = pretty wild.
Also kicks you before they leave and jump the fence = good luck catching him again. He gone.

Rebecca Halblieb just finished up her summer here with us and headed back to Kansas. She was an asset to our team and we are going to miss her! If you’re in the Holton Kansas area and need some training on your horse, look her up, she is a very talented young trainer!

Thank you Rebecca for all your hard work! 🙌🏻😊

Who needs a gentled mustang?!

4 year old gelding from Chloride Canyon, Utah. 14.2hh

I got him for the magic and I don’t think he wants to be a show horse. He’s not as bad as the “50 first dates” type but he might be a 20 first dates kind of guy. 🤣

Decent on obstacles, still scared of people. He could use a couple weeks of treat training to be honest. 🍪

Has around 20 rides, been loped in the arena, ridden out of the arena around the property one time. I really like his lope and he reminds me of an Andalusian.

I’m offering him for a very reasonable trainers fee. He is a reassignment adoption so necessary paperwork and approval is required.

No, you can’t come ride him. I’ve done a lot on him but I’m not saying he’s ready for just anyone to hop on. I don’t mind riding him in front of anyone interested but he’s being offered as gentled and started, not a reliable riding horse.

Fee is 💲5️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ as a “trainers fee” and the reassignment will be $25 to BLM. He cannot be picked up until reassignment is done and approved.

There is riding video on our page and I’m happy to get more but I’d like to find him a new home as soon as possible. I’ve done 30 days with him. If he doesn’t find a place soon then I’ll take him back to BLM.

Edit to add: Mustang also comes with a free kitten!! ☺️

Got the well head cover done! Out here if you need your well pulled they charge extra if it’s in the building (even if the roof comes off). So we were encouraged to build the well house this way for future maintenance needs.

Yeah I could have built it out of tin…but I didn’t have the extra trim I’d need for that but I did have the extra sheet metal. 14g sides and 12g top. It’s pretty stout! Probably weighs close to 50lbs!
