🐟 The fish have arrived — and it’s time for some fish facts! 🐟

Our new tanks are slowly coming to life, and we currently have two beautiful species swimming around: African Cichlids and Neon Tetras! 🐠💙

🫧 African Cichlids
Did you know some African Cichlids are mouthbrooders? When they lay eggs, the female will carry the eggs in her mouth to keep them safe until they hatch. Talk about taking “protective mom” to a whole new level! 🥚🐟

✨ Neon Tetras
These little guys are active schooling fish, which means they feel safest and happiest when they’re with their friends. They need to stay together in groups to help reduce stress and support their overall health. And with those bright neon colors, a school of them is definitely a fun sight to see!

We’ll continue adding new fish as the tanks settle in, so there will be plenty more fish facts, new species, and finned friends to introduce. 👀🐟

🐾 Labor Day Holiday Closure

We will be closed Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day.

We’ll reopen with our regular business hours on Tuesday, September 8th.

Please plan ahead for any medication refills or food needs before the holiday weekend. ❤️

Wishing all our clients and their furry family members a safe and happy Labor Day weekend! 🐶🐱

🐟 The Fish Are Coming! 🐟

Our hospital expansion is down to the last little details, and one of those details has been getting quite a bit of attention… 👀

The fish tanks in our lobby!

We’ve received lots of questions about our new tanks, so we thought it was time to officially introduce them and give you the scoop. 🐠

💧 “Why are there no fish yet?”
Excellent question! Our tanks need a little time to get settled before our finned friends move in. We’re carefully making sure the water has the proper pH, temperature, and beneficial algae/bacteria balance to create a safe and healthy environment for the fish. Basically, the tanks are currently in their “getting their lives together” phase. 😂

🐟 “When do the fish arrive?”
Tomorrow! 🎉 The first fish will officially be moving into their new home!

🌊 “What kind of tanks are they?”
They’re freshwater tanks, and we’re excited to fill them with a variety of colorful aquatic residents.

👀 “What kind of fish will you have?”
You’ll have to stay tuned! Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll introduce you to some of the different fish joining our hospital family and share a few fun facts about them.

We’re pretty excited about our newest (and quietest!) additions to the hospital. 🐟💙

Next time you’re in, be sure to stop by the lobby and say hello… once they’re officially moved in, of course! 😉

We are grateful for the amazing community we get to serve 💜

🐾 Community Partnerships Make a Difference 🐾

A heartfelt thank you to our friends at Stayton Veterinary Hospital for their support in assisting a household we were working with.

Dr. Remy and his team demonstrated incredible kindness and compassion as we collaborated to assess the situation and determine the best course of care for the animals involved. Their willingness to step in helped address concerns that were directly impacting the health and well-being of the household.

We are grateful for community partners like Stayton Veterinary Hospital who continually go above and beyond to help others. Their generosity not only made a meaningful difference for this family, but also helped stretch Service Integration resources further by leveraging their own support and expertise.

Thank you for being such an important part of building a healthier, stronger community. 💙
