Meet Dr. Norman! πΎ
Dr. Norman grew up in Chester County, Pennsylvania, where she was active in her local 4-H club, an early sign of where her career was headed. She first fell in love with the Shenandoah Valley during her undergraduate years at Washington and Lee University, and the Valley eventually pulled her back for good.
She's a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania's School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her internship at Blue Ridge Equine Clinic. After becoming a board-certified specialist in Large Animal Internal Medicine through a residency at Texas A&M, she joined their faculty, eventually serving as Service Chief for Equine Internal Medicine and Large Animal Ultrasound.
In 2014, she returned to the Valley to work with Blue Ridge Equine Clinic, and her love of ultrasound eventually led her to Staunton Veterinary Clinic and small animal medicine, where we're lucky to have her.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Norman lives in Staunton with her husband Teddy, daughter Elizabeth, and their English Shepherd, Earl. When she's not at work, you'll likely find her horseback riding, doing yoga, reading, or out enjoying the mountains.
