My phone rang this afternoon, as it does about 100x a day, and the gentleman in the other line was DESPERATE for someone to help him save this little dog.
She was found wandering in a neighborhood that is a known dumping ground for unwanted pets. They did everything right; went door to door, reported her to the shelter, scanned her for a microchip, bought her treats and toys, took her home and loved her, BUT they simply can't keep her. There are 3 resident dogs that don't get along with other animals and she seems to be unsure of doggy friends right now too.
She's in heat, she's been living on the streets, she appears to have had puppies, and God only knows what her life was before.... do you blame her for being nervous with other dogs??
Her finder took her to the local shelter and was told that if she is dog aggressive she will be killed. They walked other dogs past her and didn't like her body language so they told him if he surrendered her and she failed the official test that was it, he could not come back for her. There was no way he could leave her, but he also CAN'T keep her. He was literally in tears over the phone when I told him I did not have a solution. She wants nothing more than to cuddle and be loved on. She's the sweetest dog he's ever met. She DESERVES a chance!!!

"This is Rosalina. She was a puppy mill mother abandoned after they were done with her. Despite knowing only days of abuse, she has nothing but love in her heart. She jumped into our car during a snowy day and immediately went to sleep in our lap. She's potty trained, good on leash, and wants nothing more than to cuddle someone 24/7 and love them. She likes walks and Nyla bones, but truly cuddling is her favorite activity. She's been forced to give life for all her days, please give her a chance to spend some days living life as well. She will repay you with loyalty and unconditional love."
They are willing to drive her anywhere to a safe loving home. They are also willing to sponsor her vet care and spay.
This is TIME SENSITIVE, she can't safely stay there and the shelter is not an option that he can have on his conscious. Please email [email protected] if you can help with this sweet girl.

This little lady showed up at a home in PG county Maryland this morning. If you know anything about PG County, it's a death sentence for her.
She CANNOT be taken to the shelter or they will kill her, no questions asked... DEAD.
She cannot stay at the house where she is because of the resident dogs.
I am in NC and can't help. She's currently being scanned for a microchip but WE NEED A SAFE PLACE for her to go until her family can be located.

Yesterday I got Simbas reel finished, his story all written out, and his DESPERATE plea for a home published.
From this point forward we need a minimum of 250 a month in sponsorship for him. His post was shared less than 20 times and we have recieved one 30 donation to boarding costs.
I really don't want to give up on Simba but it seems like the rest of the world has and I don't have a magic wand to make money grow on trees or homes fall from the sky.
FOR HEAVENS SAKE we're just a coupe weeks shy of being in boarding for TWO YEARS. My heart is crushed, he deserves a chance that I can't give him, can you?????

A couple of days ago my phone rang. I've been taking some much needed personal time, so I did not answer. The missed call was followed immediately by a desperate text from someone asking me to take their dog. I get these calls and messages ALL. DAY. LONG. and while I can't even try to help everyone I do my best to find out what's going on and offer additional resources.
Turns out the LAST thing this lady wanted to do was give up her dog but she felt like she had no choice. She's going through a really hard time right now after losing her son in late 2023 and her dog is her best friend. She's living at a camp ground and on Thursday her dog slipped out the door and got into a scuffle with another dog. Neither dog required medical attention and this is the first time anything like this has happened, but of course because she's a "pit bull" type dog, they said she had to go immediately. Either the dog goes immediately or they were going to refuse to renew her lease for March.
I suggested a basket muzzle for walking in public and that she teach her to wait at the door until given the command to go outside to hopefully avoid future incidents. She admits that she's never really been socialized with other animals, so at 3 years old it's likely going to be easier to train the humans on how to protect their dog than it is to train to the dog to be a social butterfly. Even with safety measures implemented the campground was not willing to allow her dog back on the property. She was just begging me to save her dogs life, she couldn't fathom the idea of her going to a shelter or being put to sleep over such a minor incident that was an accident!
Well, I certainly can't take your unsocialized three year old dog at the drop of a hat, after there has been an altercation with another dog..... BUT I can help you find another campground and take a road trip to help you move so that you can KEEP your dog!!!!
Warren, Kai, and I are heading to Bassett VA to help this lady move her camper to a new campground so she and her pup can have a fresh start. I asked last night if she had any immediate needs because we could look through the excess WNC donations. She asked for things like body wash, dish soap, papertowels, cleaning supplies, dog food, dog treats, a basket muzzle, and blankets. We had everything except the cleaning supplies and things for her dog. We would also like to help her with the cost of boarding and her first months rent at the new campsite. I'm sitting here sobbing over a dog I never met, a life I could not save, a sweet old soul that deserved so much more than life gave her.
Dearest Oatmeal, I'm so sorry you were failed by the very people who were supposed to love you. I hope you're running pain free through the fields of Heaven, and I wish you could have known how hard we were trying to help you.
We found a foster, in fact we had a GAZILLION people reach out. I was planning to pick her up today after my appointment and take her to a place to call home. She would have had her own bedroom and plenty of time to settle in and learn how to dog. Unfortunatel, I got a message from the clinic this morning that she had passed away over night. She never got the chance to sleep on a couch, or eat a cheeseburger, or go for a ride with the windows down. She had been refusing to eat but all of her labs were normal so they thought it was stress, but there must have been something else going on.
Rest in peace baby Oatmeal, I'm so so sorry that I did not come just a couple of days sooner. We may not have been able to save you but we certainly would have spoiled you and held you tight. 💔💔💔

UPDATE: sorry I was in a rush to post this and forgot to include what we know about her. She's never been socialized with other animals but she loves all people. She would need WEEKS OF NOT MONTHS to settle in and decompress before being SLOWLY introduced to other animals and there is still no way of knowing if she can cohabitate peacefully with another dog. She needs a SAFE, QUIET, WARM, couch to lay on and learn how to be part of a family before we even consider trying to introduce her to other pets.
URGENT... SCHEDULED TO BE KILLED IN TWO DAYS!!!!!
At 8 years young, her owner has been diagnosed with cancer and is unable to care for her. We offered to help with her care so they could stay together only to learn that she's been a "lawn ornament" in his yard her whole life. He brought her to the vet to have her PTS last week and they just could not do it because she's the sweetest old soul.
They do not have the staff or ability to house her for more than 5 days. They have called every shelter and rescue on the east coast and either got no reply or was told there was nothing they could do to help.
I really can't help her, other than sharing her story and PRAYING that someone can save her. I'm willing to pull her into the rescue program if that's what it takes to save her, but I need a LONG TERM foster or adopter and we only have 48 hours left!!!!
Please SHARE with rescues and anyone you know that may be able to help us save her. I will handle transportation and assist in any way possible.

Simba is STILL waiting on his chance

Simba has literally been saved from an euthanasia date, not once, but TWICE!!!!
We think this little tater butt is the sweetest, goofiest, cutest thing this side of the Mississippi. Just look at that smile.
Simba has been in a professional board and train program for 3 months and HE'S READY to find a place to call home.
We're going to require THREE on site meet and greet and training sessions in Palmyra VA and then we're GIVING you an additional 3 months of weekly training to help Simba reach his full potential. All of this is thanks to our AMAZING partners at Rivanna K9 Services for giving Simba the chance he deserved.

NOT. ONE. SINGLE. APPLICATION. for our Noodlishious means that's she's gotta come home with ME today and YALL I can't do another dog at my house!!!! My house is tiny and FULL and I have a baby, a college student coming home with a foster puppy, a business, a rescue, our mission work in WNC, and 25 local families to deliver food to next week.....I 1000% do NOT have time or room for another dog!!!!!
Can anyone foster Noodle or better yet SOMEONE PLEASE JUST TAKE HER SWEET ELDERBULLY SELF HOME for the Holidays! She's PERFECT, loves dogs, plays like a puppy even though she's 10ish, housebroken, crate trained, loves toys, loves kids, loves ALL people, pays no attention to farm animals, REALLY likes cats and wants to play so well need a dog savy cat or someone who's got time to work with her on boundaries with her feline friends.
