The Humane Society of Statesboro & Bulloch County, Inc. We are NOT the Bulloch County Animal Shelter. Without a central building, we rely on foster homes until our pets find their forever homes.

The Humane Society of Statesboro and Bulloch County, Inc., (HSSBC) is a volunteer-based, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that has been saving animals in the community for more than 30 years The Humane Society of Statesboro & Bulloch County, Inc., is an all-volunteer, nonprofit 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization that works to end the euthanasia of healthy, adoptable animals in Bulloch County t

hrough its rescue program and its spay/neuter program. We educate the community on humane pet treatment, adopting pets from rescues and shelters, and the importance of spaying and neutering. All donations are tax-deductible according to the law.

We currently have more than 70 cats in our care, including 55 kittens in foster homes. If each kitten eats just one can of wet food a day, that’s 55 cans a day, 385 cans a week, and about 1,650 cans a month!

Our biggest needs right now are wet and dry cat food, along with litter and cleaning supplies. Donations also help support our Pet Food Pantry, which provides food to community members who need a little help caring for their own pets.

😻Saturday was a special day at Petco.
Thanks to ,sponsored by the ASPCA, 6 of our kitties found their forever homes! Each adoption is a reminder of why we do what we do. Six cats who now get to know the comfort of a family and a place to call home. ❤️

Luna update!

Luna is settling into her foster home and doing great! She’s making friends, she's playing, getting medicated baths, and showing off that adorable hairstyle! 😂

Unfortunately, Luna is heartworm positive and has begun treatment. Through it all, we're so happy to see her feeling better and enjoying life. 🩷
