I’m so proud of Katie and all her accomplishments. She worked in our stable why she completed her masters degree at Georgia Southern University. 
Her sense of adventure always amazed me. She has traveled to so many amazing places all over the world. A lot of them very remote and only accessible on horseback.

Please join us in welcoming National Historic Trails Fellow, Katie Roberts, to the Trails Community.

Katie will be joining the Santa Fe Trail Association as a Historic Trail Preservation Fellow.

Katie is a conservation biologist and lifelong explorer with a passion for connecting people with landscapes and the stories that make places meaningful. She holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in biology, with research focused on the Florida scrub lizard and experience in field ecology, habitat conservation, wildlife research, and GIS. She enjoys finding connections between fieldwork, technology, and storytelling to make conservation more accessible and engaging.
