A chip off the old block, reminds me of International Winner, 2 Xs Breed Winner, 18th Best Cat in Region 4, Grand Champion, MinusDeTails Northern Exposure, aka "PJ", his grandfather! His mother is Karello's Ducky and his sire is Karello's Who's Your Daddy? Of course!!!! Totally awesome, an upcoming sire in our breeding program. 🎉

Regarding Upcoming Litters

Red (orange) fur in cats is linked to a gene carried on the X chromosome. Male cats have only one X chromosome, so if they inherit the red gene, they will usually be entirely red, but can also be red and white.

Female cats have two X chromosomes, meaning they can carry both red (orange) and black genes at the same time. This combination creates mixed coat patterns like tortoiseshell or calico, where patches of red and black appear together (brindled or patched). Because of this genetic difference, most red cats are male, while 99.5% tortoiseshell and calico cats are female.

Simply explained, females (the color of the female) determines the color of the male kittens. Both parents (colors) determine the color of female kittens.

* I've bred a black, short hair, female (Angusina), to a cream/silver tabby, short hair, male (Roo) AND a silver patched tabby, short hair, female (Leah) to a black, short hair, male (Monkey). All are either CFA or TICA registered.
