😻HOWIE UPDATE! 😻

Sometimes, all it takes is a little extra love, a helping hand, and someone who knows exactly what to do. ❤️

Howie was struggling, and we were genuinely afraid we were going to lose him. Knowing he needed more help than we could give him, we reached out to our friend and fellow rescuer, Kim with Nana’s Fosters, hoping she could work her magic.

And WOW… what a difference! 🥹 The change in Howie after just ONE night with Kim was incredible. This tiny, fragile boy needed someone with that special touch, and Kim gave him the chance he desperately needed. We are so incredibly grateful to Kim for caring for Howie when he needed it most

Please take a moment to give Nana’s Fosters a follow! They’re a small (like us) rescue in Clearfield County, and they do AMAZING work. Check out their pinned post with their wishlist.

Fun Fact… Howie has Calico coloring and is in fact a boy!

Caring for young ones is expensive if you can spare a few $$, we would be grateful.

We wish we knew this little guy’s story.

Howie came to us on Sunday with what we were told were his littermates—healthy, spunky, 5-week-old kittens.

Weighing a sickly 7 ounces, our little guy Howie (we thought the name was fitting since he came from Howard) is malnourished and so underdeveloped that he looks more like a 2½-week-old kitten.

We took him to the vet on Monday, thinking he was dying. But our vet offered a different perspective: little Howie was fighting to survive. ❤️

It’s still very much touch-and-go for Howie, but he’s showing us that he’s a little fighter!

Please say a little prayer for Howie and for us. We want nothing more than for this little one to make it. 🙏🐾

4 more kittens came in today. 3 very active siblings and one very very tiny fragile one, it’s hard to believe they are the same age (they are the same litter) She’s going to get a little extra TLC and we hope she can get over the hump. Welcome to HVAIN little ones.

🐾❤️WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP! ❤️🐾

As we head into the weekend, we want to take a moment to thank everyone who has already sent food donations. We appreciate you more than you know! ❤️ Every bag makes a difference, and we are so grateful for your generosity.

With that being said, the food we’ve received so far will get us through approximately the next two weeks—not the winter. 😿

🥶 It’s going to be a long, hard winter, and we need to be there for the animals who depend on us.

🙏 PLEASE SHARE our winter food drive post! Even if you can’t donate, sharing helps us reach people who may be able to. Links and address to donate on shared post

❤️🐾 Please help us stock up before the cold sets in. They are counting on us, and we are counting on you.

🚨 7 KITTENS …4 more on the way….AND WE NEED YOUR HELP! 🐾

This past Sunday, we unexpectedly welcomed 7 kittens, including 4 littles who need to be bottle-fed. 🍼❤️

Bottle babies are not something we typically take on, but with wonderful advice from Karen at Hope’s Dream, our foster felt they could do this— and they are doing an AMAZING job!

In just 2 weeks, 4 more kittens will be joining us. That’s 11 little lives depending on HVAIN for food, formula, vaccines, vet care, and eventually spay/neuter.

For our small foster-based rescue, 11 kittens is a BIG expense.

🙏 We’re asking for your help to get these babies the veterinary care they need. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a difference.
