Bernie Sanders is at PAWS -- well, Bernie and Sanders!

Bernie and Sanders are brothers who have lived together their whole lives, so they are looking for a home that they can both be adopted into.

Bernie likes napping and being petted. So does Sanders, but he is also rather nosy and likes peeking through the glass doors to see what cats in other rooms are up to.

Sanders also loves to sneak into the linen closet to catch a nap on the freshly clean and warm towels.

These six-year-old boys get along other cats, dogs, and kids.

They do have Cerebellar Hypoplasia or also know as a wobbly cat, but it is very mild and you may not even realize they are wobbly cats when you meet them.

Here at PAWS, Winston is brightening our weekend with his sweet and energetic personality. 6-month-old Winston is still full of puppy energy, and is full of love for other dogs, kids, and anyone he meets. We had so much fun at our last dog showing, we are going to do it again today (Saturday, Sept. 6) from noon to 2 p.m.!

These little Taco Bell kittens are rolling into PAWS this weekend, and they’re ready to taco ’bout adoption!

They’re nacho average kittens.

They’re here to shell-ebrate the weekend.

And if you think you can resist them? That’s a big dill. Actually, wrong restaurant. But you get the idea.

These little meow-garitas are ready to find their happy homes, and we’re pretty sure you’ll be saying, “Yo quiero Taco Bell…” before you even leave the parking lot.

Mark your calendars! Our next vaccine clinic will be held at PAWS on September 17 from 4–6 p.m.

We’ll be offering vaccines on a first-come, first-served basis, so please plan for a possible wait during this high-volume clinic.

A few important reminders as you plan:

• The clinic is weather dependent since portions take place outdoors. Extreme heat or inclement weather may result in cancellation, so please check our website and social media for updates.

• If your pet needs a 3-year rabies vaccine, please bring proof of their previous rabies vaccination.

• Our vaccine clinics cannot provide documentation required for international travel.

It’s impossible not to fall in love with these sweet faces!

Xena and Nixie are totally ready to be scooped up by their future families. These cuties arrived to PAWS together, are both good with other dogs and children and have TONS of love to share. ❤️

Lorraine joined us at PAWS after our staff traveled to the Clinton County Humane Society to bring her here. From the very beginning, we knew this sweet girl needed time and patience.

She spent her first month at PAWS with our staff, slowly learning that being handled didn’t have to be scary and that people could be trusted.

Then came her foster family. For the rest of her time with PAWS, Lorraine lived in a loving foster home where she was given encouragement and the time she needed to feel safe.

And now, Lorraine is Lainey. She has a new name, a new family, and a whole new life. This past weekend, she went camping with her new mom, dad, and sister.

This is transformation. This is what patience can do. This is why we give them a chance.

We’re so happy for you, Lainey. Keep exploring, keep playing, and keep enjoying your happily ever after!
