Travelling with 6 dogs (4 Aussies) is always an adventure but it’s what we do.
This last trip was to see family in
100+ degree weather and lots of people visiting.
In all that their comfort and care come first. Out early and late for walks while not too hot. Air conditioning. Large back yard with lush green grass and plenty of shade and water during visits.
Special thanks to our family for considering our fur babies on our visit.

We had a break down on the way home sitting at shop under awning with truck running and air on to make a 4 hour trip, 8.5 hour trip home.

We couldn’t have been more proud of the Angels in handling the extended time in truck taking turns sitting on my lap while we waited for repairs. True Angels 🥰

Aussies and small children.💞
I often see posts about rehoming pups due to having small children. This makes me so sad because it breaks every one’s heart.
I’m so blessed that mine adore their little food dispensers.
Even Bohdi who was an adult when added to our chaos,gets nervous with the fast moving noises makers. He does well with supervision, training of lil people of his anxiety and reassurance for him that it’s ok.
This was the same when I brought my first child home to my 11 yo Doberman who had never been around children.
Time, training for everyone, constant supervision,and calm love makes for success and best friends forever.
Because I’m not rehoming pups or kids 🥰

LONG POST ALERT ‼️
I often hear people asking “if they should get another Aussie”?
Will it add to the chaos?
Of course it will☺️
Is it manageable? Are you in a good place mentally and physically to handle it?
I’m older and work full time and my Aussies adapt to my lifestyle and live inside. Their job is to protect (mostly my feet and calories ) and provide companionship. It actually helps to have a “pack” as they exercise/ entertain and are companions for each other.
Aussie’s are not always suited for apartment life but I have wonderful families that have made it work perfectly.
A well bred and cared for Aussie shouldn’t be anxious but it can still happen and require extra care and training to deal with it. My Bohdi is a nervous guy who had to adapt to us at 2.5 years old. He’s improved around men and loud small children. We work with him and monitor his anxiety to help him be successful. He’s a total momma boy.🥰
I have 4 Aussies (5 total pups-don’t judge or do I’m ok with it🤷‍♀️) and my biggest concern about adding Elsa to the pack, was room in the truck and handling an extra leash when we go camping and the extra shedding 🤣 She fell right in with the pack.
Do what is right for you and your family as long as you have love and time for animals and you can commit to love and care for them for their entire life💞
