My sweetest boy Ryder is in need of the biggest healing thoughts and prayers.
Ryder has been my main boy since day 1. We bonded in a time when Darrell just started traveling for work. He’s fully my dog which is exactly what I wanted because Brantley became Darrell’s and bonded to him. The past few years have been crazy and chaotic but he’s always been my baby! My favorite to cuddle and play with.
Yesterday while playing ball with the older dogs and Mason, Ryder suffered a spinal stroke. Basically a blood clot dislodged and is pushing on his spine. He lost function in both back legs. As you can imagine it was very scary especially for my young kids who didn’t understand what happened.
Right now all we can do is wait for the swelling to go down, he’s 24/7 nursing care. He needs regular pain management as well as turns and extensive help going potty… we have a call today to start with rehab. He’s in a lot of pain tho so we’re not sure what that looks like for him..
We know this boy very well and he’s unfortunately not a wheelchair bound type of boy so we are trying to stay optimistic! Keep him in your heart ❤️
