What a fun day with client dogs yesterday!
We spent the afternoon working on our obedience skills while boosting confidence and learning to relax when we are excited ❤️🥹

We’ve had a good doggie filled week/weekend.
We finished our first round of Basic obedience class in Cadillac! I’m thrilled by the work the dogs and owners have done and I hope it helps them continue to succeed. (We’re missing two from that class and I’ll post them later this week!)

A couple pups from our Saturday class and my sweet Ollie and foster girl Arya working through some together issues while on place ❤️🐾 the last photo is boarded dog Sylvie enjoying time with her friends!

This week is packed with pups and we have a FULL house this weekend so I look forward to sharing all the dogs with you!

Arya has been successfully weaned off her Prozac and is now in full blown training mode!

Relationship building and confidence are a huge to do on her agenda. As well as impulse control. We are going to be working hard with her the next few weeks 🐾

The holidays will be here before we know it! 🎄🐾

If you’re planning any holiday travel and will need boarding for your dogs, we encourage you to book your reservations early! This year, we will be accepting a limited number of dogs during the holiday periods to ensure each dog receives the time, attention, and care they deserve.

Holiday spots tend to fill up quickly, and once we reach our capacity, we won’t be able to accommodate additional reservations.

If you already know your holiday plans, please reach out to reserve your dog’s stay as soon as possible!

Christmas is almost booked full!
Thanksgiving has a couple openings.

Thank you!! ❤️🍁

I’m currently training my corgis to be trail dogs!
They did great yesterday and were able to pass several dogs with zero issues!
They were TIRED after 3.6 miles.

Corgis are herding dogs and because of their size they tend to be more intense then other herding breeds. Corgis are temperamental and their intensity and drive makes them more impulsive.

Teaching them impulse control is super important and building my relationship with them has been a game changer.

And yes my corgis are e collar trained. ESPECIALLY when I take them out on the trails with my horses where we can run into other off leash dogs. It’s for their safety. Both respond to tone and know that means to come and keep close, I only needed to use it once yesterday when they got distracted and lagged behind.
