Horse friends please share!

Our farm is looking to gauge interest in a clinic with Erica Owen on Aug 1? Erica is visiting us from AZ this summer and is offering her expertise in Horsemanship, Showmanship, Equitation, Ranch Riding and Trail. She could also assist with education for in-hand trail and Lunge-line classes.

Please comment below to let us know if you are interested and what your top 3 diciplines would be to work on so we can decide what to offer!

Interest levels will determine the schedule of events and how many slots we can accommodate. We can then decide wether to offer AM and PM sessions or just AM.

Erica!

Erica grew up riding and showing Quarter Horses in Upstate New York. In 2006, she began training horses professionally, and has now trained and shown multiple world and reserve world champions over several associations. She specializes in yearlings and the all-around events, and works out of the legendary Almosta Ranch in Rio Verde, AZ.

The Cat, the 'Queen', the Legend.

Anyone who knows our farm, also knows this cat. Famous for her adventures, leaving the property in numerous horse trailers, the farrier truck, and even did a 2 week stint in Palmyra after jumping in a truck during a family dinner. Of course she found herself a warm house to take over right next to a horse farm when she decided she couldn't cross the thruway. She returned to us on that occasion just in time for Thanksgiving!

She ruled this farm.

Even though she was a barn cat, she was the best. Greeted each and every vehicle that pulled in the driveway, helped turn out horses and always found a shoulder to ride on if she wasn't already hitching a ride on the RTV!

We said goodbye to 'Spike' today as she made it very clear that she was finished with her time here.

I usually don't post our losses on social media but she was a special one that deserves all of the attention. ❤️ Please don't flood this post with sympathy for us. We were happy to give her this life and this ending.
Please DO feel free to share any stories you may remember of her.
