I made a new group for River Run Australian Shepherds. As we get closer to having our second litter, I wanted to have this private group for current or future puppy owners. Anyone is welcome, even if you just want to see cute photos! I will most likely be deleting this page (Facebook has a lot of restrictions) and keeping the private group and our Instagram running when puppies are born later this year.

I have attached a screenshot of the group so that anyone interested can search and request to join.

Peak has been a really fun puppy to raise. He is different from his littermates when it comes to his energy level and is a very observant puppy. Peak enjoys playing with toys and treats are one of his favorite things! We are really happy with his new home and can’t to see what adventures he embarks on!

We have often referred to Kokanee as the “little brown bear” and with Ember she easily matches Kokanee as the “little black bear.” Ember is a lovely puppy! She often sits nicely and watches us, waits for affection, or waits for treats. She likes to play tug and to bark back and forth with her best friend Aspen.

Ember is officially on hold! Her potential family is coming to meet her next week.

Flora is starting to enjoy snow a little bit more and she has loved playing with Kokanee and her littermates outside. She has also started acting a little mischievous the last two days as she found a spot under the couch to chew on. Flora is a sweet and confident girl with a calmer temperament than Kokanee had at this young age.

If you saw our Instagram stories, you would have seen that all of the puppies were Volhard temperament tested today! We are super grateful that we were able to do this test as it wasn’t something we originally thought we’d be able to arrange. The puppies all scored really well and are exactly what we had hoped they would be! Starting Wednesday, they are old enough to go to their new homes and we send our first pup out into the world on Friday!

We’ve loved raising these puppies their first weeks of life and are super excited for their new homes!

Aspen acts like Kokanee when she was a puppy, meaning she might be a handful somedays! Aspen is one of the puppies who loves the snow! She thinks it’s incredible and will trudge through the deep powder to explore.

Aspen is spoken for.

Our bouncy girl Fauna is the happiest one to play and romp in the snow! She runs through the tracks that the big dogs make and a face full of powder gives her zoomies. We hope that Fauna gets to find a home where she can have some more snowy winters!

Puppies first snow at 5 weeks old❄️

We took the puppies out two at a time and they loved experiencing something new! It was a great first experience and they had a lot of fun. We’re looking forward to more outside time as they get bigger.
