We had a fun weekend trip to Fort Worth, Texas, for the Mini Rex Nationals. The weather was hot and humid, but we still had a great time! Last year, I didn’t have the best luck breeding for Nationals, but considering I only showed two of my homebred animals, I’m very happy with their placements!

She was the ONLY non-black in the top 1/2 of her class! Congratulations to her new owner!

I’m excited to redo the cross of Spell because her mom, Genie, wasn’t producing enough milk. So, I drove all the way to Wisconsin Rapids to Allyse Sullivan’s house to have her to foster three babies. Fortunately, Spell was the only one who made it. I want to express my deepest gratitude to Allyse for her incredible help in saving Spell!

Also, a special congratulations to the Ballingers for Best of Breed with a pretty otter doe. I was happy to hear their breed doe went back to a doe I bred!

I only showed two Mini Rex this weekend in Jefferson that weren’t completely finished and was surprised with how well they did.

ARS Zippy won BOG Self three shows in a row. Zippy is from Ziggy’s first litter that Allyse graciously gifted to me for letting her use Ziggy after Ziggy’s sire Blacklist passed away. And Maple Ridge Bela won BOG Tan in show A.

While I was away two of my oldest brood does kindled some healthy babies!

Motherhood fits ARS Maisey so well! -10 degrees out, but the newest litters are toasty in the heated barn. Maisey is a first-time mom and absolutely aced everything so far and is being the sweetest mama.
