Such a fun time celebrating 10 years of Sam I Am DW&T! So grateful and happy for everyone who came out to celebrate with me today! What started out as a side hustle job blossomed into a decade of a full fledged business. Helping dogs of all shapes sizes and personalities is truly a great passion of mine that these past 10 years seem to have flown by in just a blink of an eye. Here’s to another 10 years! 🎈🐾♥️

Working Dog Breeds, like you Bernese Mountain dog, have been put in this category because they like to have a “job” to do and can feel when we are busy doing something and therefore think they should be busy doing something too. The best lesson to teach any working breed, is that one of their most important “jobs” is to do nothing. Utilizing the command STAY and working from easier versions to more challenging versions is how you can help teach your dog how to do this “job.”
As we teach this to Todd, you can see how he naturally becomes calmer as he understands the “job” better. Keep up the great work Todd!🐾♥️

Busy Busy Busy, but having lots of fun and love seeing how my clients keep progressing positively as we continue with our training. Patience and Persistence are the keys to dog training and that’s truly is the ultimate lesson that I teach to all my clients no matter what we are working on or the age/breed of the dog. I’ve had many clients struggle with teaching their puppy/dog the command DOWN. Through many different training sessions I have learned that it’s the smallest and slightest difference in how the owner is trying to get their puppy/dog to get in the DOWN position makes all the difference. As you can see in this video with Santi, his owner just needed to adjust where she was placing her hand and slow down how fast she was going in order to help Santi achieve the DOWN position. Keep up the great work Santi!🐾♥️

Love doing agility with my boys! Not only is it fun for all of us, but it’s just something different to do with them that exercises them both physically and mentally. It is because of agility that both my boys learned how to obey commands better in more high energy situations, obey commands without me having to face them, show them that focusing and obeying me is fun and overall strengthening our bond and relationship .🐾♥️

Ten years ago not only was this one of kind pup born, but I became a mom. The moment he was placed in my arms and we were walking back to the car, it was like I could suddenly feel the pull of gravity keeping me bound to this earth and a surge of anxiety mixed with changed flooded over me. I was no longer the person who could wake up whenever I wanted and just see where the day took me. I was a mom and therefore my day and my world was you Goliath.
You are such a special boy and I know there’s a lot of people out there who wouldn’t have been able to handle you the way I learned how to do and I didn’t know how much I needed your unconditional love and presence in my life until you were in it; and I know now that life without an animal baby will never be my life ever again.
You changed my world for the better and love the special bond we share; we rescued each other.
Have the best birthday my 10year old boy! 🎈🐾♥️

Marcelo is a Labrador, Boxer & Staffordshire Terrier mix. These are all breeds like love to work and like to keep busy, so MarMar has lots of jobs. Due to him being part Terrier, he naturally has always showed an interest in digging, so I took that interest and made it a “job.” Every time he would dig, I would say the word DIG to help create a command so he would do it when I needed/wanted him to as well as made sure his STAY command was strong for the time needed him to stop digging for a moment.
Other jobs MarMar has:
1) Fetch- on land or water (Labrador)
2) Agility- with all that energy and willingness to work with me, he loves to go through an agility course
3) STAY & Relax- sometimes the job is just to do nothing, but high energy breeds need to be taught this with the use of the command STAY
4) Therapy Dog- Marcelo is very social and loves to say hi to all people and kids, so I took that love and interest and invested the time in signing up for classes to make him a certified therapy dog

Marcelo has not just been a great help to me, but also to others. Always so proud of my boy🐾♥️
