🎉🐾 Meet Cornell University Veterinary Specialists' 2026 Veterinary Technician & Assistant of the Year: Renee and Marcasia!

We could not be prouder to celebrate this mother-daughter duo for their incredible work, dedication, and compassion that they have brought to our hospital over the last four years.

Renee, LVT, joined CUVS in 2023 and quickly became not only an integral member of the Internal Medicine service — aiding board-certified internists in diagnosing, treating, and managing complex cases — but a stand out coworker and friend to many.

Marcasia joined CUVS one year later and has become a critical helping hand within the Ophthalmology service — assisting in the completion of patient charts, aiding Dr. Wynne in 1-on-1 appointments, and ensuring that all patient visits run smoothly from beginning to end.

Congratulations to Renee and Marcasia on being named Cornell University Veterinary Specialists' 2026 Citizens of the Year and thank you for all that you do to help patients, clients, and staff. 🌟

🦷 Meet Stephany, one of Cornell University Veterinary Specialists' Dentistry Veterinary Technicians!

Since joining CUVS in 2024 as a Veterinary Nurse Level 1, Stephany has played a critical role in helping the CUVS Dentistry Team with countless cleanings, assisting in dentistry consults, performing dental x-rays, and much more.

As of July 2026, Stephany has officially advanced on to becoming a Veterinary Nurse Level 2 and continues working alongside CUVS' board-certified veterinary dentists — ensuring that patients have access to year-round expert level dental care.

This presentation will cover a comprehensive review of radiographic pulmonary pathology and interpretation paradigms including:
• an overview and examples of typical pulmonary patterns (alveolar, interstitial, nodules, masses, miliary, and vascular)
• distribution, and ancillary findings in the remainder of the study to determine a cogent differential list; and
• appropriate medical planning

As always, we aim to provide practical and applicable information and encourage discussion. This session provides both RACE and NYS-approved CE. Certificates are emailed within one week after the session. 💻

✨🗓️ In light of , join us in highlighting CUVS Emergency Service Liaison Carol and CUVS Pharmacy Coordinator Luz!

Over the last 7 years, Carol and Luz have played key roles in ensuring that Cornell University Veterinary Specialists continues to thrive.

As an Emergency Service Liaison, Carol's typical work day includes ensuring that all patients are met with immediate care in times of emergency or panic, serving as a bridge between CUVS' medical team and clients, and translating critical documents or 1-on-1 conversations for non-English speaking pet parents.

As Pharmacy Coordinator, a typical day on the job for Luz includes working in close collaboration with CUVS' board-certified doctors, veterinary nurses, clients, and surrounding pharmacies to ensure that every patient receives the proper medication and dosages.

Thank you, Carol and Luz, for all that you do to help humans and animals in need! 🐾
