So about grooming. I normally post my cutest grooms. But at the holidays everyone that cooperates with picture taking gets a picture posted.

Sometimes that means special requests. Sometimes that means dogs have chewed off their foot hair. Sometimes that means mom or dad has taken the scissors to Fluffy themselves and I can only do my best to fix what they’ve done.

In short don’t judge the grooming by the holiday photos lol.

Before I start on Easter pictures I thought I should share my leprechauns. I didn’t get many photos as just getting through work was a bit tough.

I’m going to take a minute to talk about Arwyn and her great owners. She is not have a good start in life. Not sure what or why but she definitely had issues.

She was sent home from her first groomer and when the owners asked what they could do to help the groomer just shrugged and said bring her back another day.

They called me. We worked for a few months every two weeks just doing something that happens during grooming. Short sessions with as little stress as possible. Not going to lie and say she wasn’t stressed but we tried to keep it to a minimum. They really committed.

Today we were able to complete Arwyn’s first complete groom from start to finish. I get emotional when I can bring a dog around from alligator rolling to a fairly uneventful groom.

We still have issues to work through but we are getting there.

Kudos to her owners!!

I am back from surgery. I will slowly be making my way to getting back to everyone who left messages or texts. Please remember I am one person, I am still recovering from a major surgery. I get tired really easily. If you’re in an hurry for a groom I’d suggest calling someone else even if it’s just this one time.

Unless I make some great inroads in my healing I am booked out until April at this point. While I AM doing very well considering, I’m still using energy reserves to heal. So that sometimes means I’m just going to sleep when I get home. I appreciate everyone’s patience.
