This takes us back in time a bit when it was still hot and the animals loved to cool off with water. Now that it’s December, we’re chopping ice and bringing out the water heaters, etc. In reality, the animals do much better with the cold than the heat. Toby had just built the goats’ obstacle course.
I love feeding the animals. The boys pace behind me until i fill their bowl. Most of the girls wait at the feed station, Penelope positions herself to the tack room, and Gingersnap waits until I have food in hand, then follows me to each “dish”, looks in after i put the food in, then follows me to the be t. The goats always act famished and ignore the feed bowl and go fo the dish, and the chickens act like they haven’t been fed in days-while their feeder is full. True story.
