Not all fruits are safe for dogs. While some can be a healthy treat, others can be dangerous and should always be avoided.

Safe fruits like blueberries, watermelon, apples (without seeds), bananas, strawberries, and pineapple can provide vitamins, antioxidants, and hydration when given in small portions.

However, some fruits can be harmful or even toxic. Grapes and raisins are known to cause serious kidney problems in dogs. Cherries and plums contain pits that can be choking hazards and may release toxic compounds. Avocado can also cause digestive upset in many dogs.

Even safe fruits should only be given occasionally and in moderation. Always remove seeds, pits, and tough skins, and introduce new foods slowly to see how your dog reacts.

When in doubt, keep treats simple and always choose foods that are known to be safe for dogs.
