I’m still shocked I hadn’t posted my boy legend up until now! Legend is a very interesting dog, loves his people and detest nearly everything else. Legends personality is very intriguing, to put it bluntly legend likes to use his teeth with people and with dogs.

A very important thing when training dogs who have the tendency to bite is muzzle training which fortunately his owners had already worked on. Legend now does great at vet and out in public while muzzled. My overall point is that simply because a dog struggles doesn’t mean we can’t increase their lifestyle. All we need is some intense structure!

Let’s welcome Clover to the G Trains Dogs Team, Clover started out as an extremely reactive dog which was very bothersome to her owners given her affinity to bark at everyone and everything. Clovers anxiety begin to leak into the house which culminated in dog fights with her adoptive sister.

In order to address any dog’s anxiety, we need to build a structure of rules that eventually the dog can predict. Clover went from not being able to see people walking outside of her house to being able to walk around Home Depot with lots of distractions. The work isn’t done, we will continue to push her in areas of discomfort so that we can be more intentional about balancing her mentality. We can’t change a dogs personality but we can give them tools to help them function in the real world!

𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗬: This loving soul was found as a stray last summer, super skinny, but still so sweet 🥹 Time in a kennel was hard on him and he found himself at risk at a local shelter till he thought he’d found furever. Sadly, one year later circumstances changed and the thought of him going back to a shelter broke everyone’s hearts 😞

Thankfully, a 𝗳𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗼 stepped up and opened their home where he has been ✨ thriving ✨ ever since 🥹

As some of you may know, I've dedicated the past few years to fostering and training rescue dogs in need. Suki, the lovable goofball here, was my 57th successful rehoming thanks to her amazing rescue team unleashedpotentialrescue.

First video you will see Sukis demeanor in the shelter, very anxious and completely unregulated emotions but this is common given the circumstances. The first step was getting suki to decompress within a structured household. Dogs learn much easier when there’s a consistency and clarity as to what they’re supposed to be doing throughout the day. The second photo you see here is suki after about four days of being with me, completely relaxed and unbothered. In this phase we have the opportunity to experience her actual personality which is that of a gentle albeit excitable hippo. The third video you see here is suki learning to work shoulder to shoulder with other dogs, this was super important for her adoptability. I wanted to make sure she had the ability to experience stress next to other dogs but being able to stay on task. The last picture you’ll see here is suki in her new home enjoying her new parents. As far as adopters go, I couldn’t have asked for a better match. Thank you again .nostrand for giving her a great home. Stay tuned for number 58. Alfie, has made tremendous progress with coexisting with people and things he cannot control. It will never cease to amaze me the level of growth a dog can experience within the structure and system that allows it. I’m excited to see what alfies lifestyle will be moving forward. Great job small boy!

Ladies and gentlemen meet suki, she my current foster and training program and we’ll be looking to find her a home in the next month. Whomever she goes home with will receive continued training, in my opinion she’s the perfect dog for just about any home. Thrives when there are rules in place but overall will make someone a very good companion and a great Christmas gift.
