Bear Is Officially a Cytarabine Graduate! 🎓

Big congratulations to Bear on completing his cytarabine treatment!

This day belongs to Bear and his family, whose commitment showed up at every appointment. Working alongside Dr. Majors and our ANC care team, they kept Bear’s comfort and quality of life at the center of every decision. We’re honored to have been part of his care and are so happy to mark this milestone with them.

✨ Meet Kelly! ✨

Kelly is our Facilities Manager, and she loves being part of the neurology team because she gets to see patients regain function and comfort. She values working alongside a team that truly improves a patient’s quality of life every single day 💙🐾

While Kelly doesn’t currently have pets at home, she has a soft spot for great pet names like Fuzzy White, Peanut, and Floyd (we agree — top tier names).

Outside of work, you’ll find Kelly hunting for antiques or tending to her garden 🌿 She loves the fresh start of spring, the crisp air of fall, and yes… she’s definitely a cat person.

Fun fact: If she weren’t in veterinary medicine, Kelly would be a homicide detective 🔍
(We’re glad she chose neurology instead!)

🌟 Meet Rufus, the miracle pup who’s walking again just two weeks after surgery at The ANC! 🌟

Rufus’s mom, Judy, shared this incredible review with us:

“Words alone can't begin to express how grateful I am to Dr. Wininger and his staff. Rufus, my 6-year old longhaired dachshund, lost the use of his back legs. Rusty — Sweetest Chihuahua

Every patient at ANC gets round-the-clock care, including through the night when our technicians provide the one-on-one attention that keeps recovery on track. Rusty made the most of his stay, earning the title of Sweetest Chihuahua from our overnight team.

Overnight care at ANC is about keeping patients safe, comfortable, and calm through recovery. Milo did just that, and picked up a very specific honor along the way: Cutest Patient with the Fewest Teeth.

Comet made it clear who's really in charge at ANC today.

While the team was getting him cozy with fresh blankets and treats, he decided Megan needed a little "quality time" in his run... and promptly shut the door on her. She was a good sport about her temporary confinement, and Comet's fan club (aka the rest of the team) couldn't stop laughing.

Just another day of patient antics keeping us on our toes. 🐾

Melissa is one of our incredible Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs), and she has a deep passion for neurology—fascinated by how the brain works, she helps pets recover every day. Whether it’s helping an animal walk again or educating pet owners, Melissa is always there for our furry friends. 🐾

At home, Melissa loves spending time with her pets:
🐶 Olive (the cuddler)
🐶 Fergus (the playful one)
🐱 Enzo (the curious cat)
🐱 Buck (the mischievous cat)
She also enjoys scrapbooking her favorite memories 📸
