Comet made it clear who's really in charge at ANC today.

While the team was getting him cozy with fresh blankets and treats, he decided Megan needed a little "quality time" in his run... and promptly shut the door on her. She was a good sport about her temporary confinement, and Comet's fan club (aka the rest of the team) couldn't stop laughing.

Just another day of patient antics keeping us on our toes. 🐾

✨ Spotlight on Melissa! ✨

Melissa is one of our incredible Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs), and she has a deep passion for neurology—fascinated by how the brain works, she helps pets recover every day. Whether it’s helping an animal walk again or educating pet owners, Melissa is always there for our furry friends. 🐾

At home, Melissa loves spending time with her pets:
🐶 Olive (the cuddler)
🐶 Fergus (the playful one)
🐱 Enzo (the curious cat)
🐱 Buck (the mischievous cat)
She also enjoys scrapbooking her favorite memories 📸

Fun fact: If she weren’t in veterinary medicine, Melissa would be a zookeeper for big cats! 🐯

✨ Meet Hailey! ✨

Hailey is our amazing Lead Client Service Representative, and she loves being part of the neurology team because she’s always learning something new. What means the most to her? Helping guide pet owners through what can feel like a scary, overwhelming experience and making sure they feel heard, supported, and cared for every step of the way 💙🐾

When she’s not at work, Hailey goes home to quite the crew:
🐶 Emma (hound mix adventure buddy)
🐱 Fern (calico queen)
🐟 Crocodile (the betta with the best name)
🦎 Sunny (leopard gecko extraordinaire)
And honestly… she’d have even more pets if she could!

Outside of vet med, Hailey’s favorite role is being mom to her 4-year-old son, Wyatt. From playing with trucks to digging holes in the yard, they’re always making memories. She and her husband, Ryan, love camping, riding their side-by-side, and spending as much time outdoors as possible 🌲☀️

to a great night of learning at ANC.
We were honored to host Dr. Jill Luther of Heartland Veterinary Surgery, LLC for a RACE-approved lecture on perioperative management of the brachycephalic patient. Local general practitioners and their teams joined us to dig into practical, evidence-based strategies for keeping high-risk BOAS patients safer before, during, and after surgery.
Thank you to Dr. Luther for sharing her expertise, and to everyone who came out to learn with us. Events like this one are exactly why we love this profession: veterinarians showing up for each other.
