The APA's Spring Vaccine Clinic on April 12 is fully booked.

Thanks to the support of the Banfield Foundation for helping make this event possible.

Due to high demand, we are extending our low-cost vaccine clinic to additional zip codes in our north county service area!

If you're in the 63135, 63136, 63137, 63138, 63121, and 63033 zip codes, low-cost vaccines are now available at the APA Wellness Clinic for $20 per pet.

We are excited to announce that on April 12, we will partner with the Saint Louis Zoo to host a FREE vaccine clinic from 10am to 2pm at Saint Louis Zoo WildCare Park while supplies last.

We will offer free rabies vaccines, distemper vaccines, and microchips for dogs and cats.

I’m not sure I’ve ever met a dog with such a perfect name- everybody say hey to Groovy!! She stopped by the other day for a spa day and color refresh 🥰

Oh my gosh… there’s a gorgeous poodle under there!! Roxy came for a spa day today 🥰

Roxy came to see me after her last groomer decided they couldn’t groom a dog that couldn’t stand 😞 Roxy is 11!! Her hips aren’t what they used to be, and it’s hard for her to stand for extended periods of time. Here are the ways I accommodated Roxy today;

- Firstly I did a pre shave on her body. Since we were going shorter, there was no need to spend all that time washing and drying all that hair!
- in the bath, I used rapid drying products on her coat to cut drying time in half
- on the table, I used my paw mat and made sure she was able to lay down when she needed to
- I started drying everything that I could not access if she needed to lay down. When she did lay down, I worked on easily accessible areas like her head, tail, and front legs
- after having her stand, I clipped everything as fast as I could before she laid back down. I then groomed her feet, nails, and head!
- In the home stretch, I had her stand one more time to get her sanitary and finish up with scissor work!

Through the whole process, Roxy was a real champion. She did her very best and she let me know when she needed to lay down. We were all delighted by the results and in the end, it only cost me an extra 30 minutes. It’s my great pleasure to honor our best friends by ensuring that they are comfortable during the grooming process, at any stage of life 🥰
