To say that finding St. Louis Wood Floors to refinish stairs in my mother's 100+ year-old home in St. Louis was a stroke of good fortune would be an understatement. His incredible work was critical to our ability to sell the house. The type of wood installed on the stairs in 1919 was beautiful and strong, but not what installers would use today. Owner Jackson Spencer, with 30+ years of experience, knew that the treads would require a non-traditional staining solution that few refinishers have expertise with. (A different floor refinisher had previously tried to refinish the treads unsuccessfully.) He also took care in the sanding stage to hand rub the nose of each tread - so the curved edge would be consistent with the original craftsmanship. The stairs are the first thing potential buyers would see when they walked through the front door. We could not have been happier with the finished product. Also, communicating with Jackson is a breeze. He responds quickly, shows up for appointments, and worked evenings to complete this job in time for our listing deadline.
