Hillside Animal Hospital We are a small animal veterinary clinic in the city of St Louis right near "The Hill" neighborhood. We are an AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital.

Here, we strive to deliver excellent care for pets. Because your pets deserve nothing less. Hillside Animal Hospital, originally City Animal Hospital, was started in 1946 by Dr. Normal Schmelzer. It w

as one of the first veterinary hospitals in the city of St Louis. The hospital moved into its current building at 5325 Manchester Ave in 2001, increasing the facility space by 5 times. The original clinic building is now being used by The Feral Companion. In 2020, Dr. Anna Migneco and Dr. Aaron Willis took over ownership. The practice now supports five doctors providing compassionate veterinary care for numerous patients and rescue organizations.
