🩺🐾 Veterinarians truly are incredible! 🐾🪿

One of the things that amazes me most about veterinary medicine is just how much our doctors have to know. They don’t learn medicine for just one species — their knowledge has to span dogs, cats, pocket pets, birds, wildlife and sometimes… a goose! 🪿💙

Today, two of our amazing veterinarians performed surgery on a goose, and it was such a great reminder of the skill, knowledge, compassion and adaptability this profession requires.
You never quite know what the day will bring in veterinary medicine — and our team continues to rise to the occasion. So proud of our doctors and the incredible care they provide to creatures great, small…and feathered! ❤️🐾🪿

Happy (early) Birthday to our amazing RVT, Carol! 🎂💗 Today we celebrate her birthday!

Carol is truly one of the absolute best humans you could ever know. She is kind, compassionate, hardworking, and always there for her team, our clients, and every animal that comes through our doors. 🐾

We are beyond lucky to have her and hope she knows just how loved and appreciated she is!

Just a friendly reminder from Dolly’s: nail trims are not optional bunny maintenance.

Most rabbits need their nails trimmed about every 1 to 1.5 months.

We know. Your bunny hates it. They wiggle. They thump. They look directly into your soul as if you’ve committed an unforgivable betrayal. Some begin drafting emancipation paperwork before you’ve even found the clippers.

But letting nails become severely overgrown isn’t just cosmetic. Long nails can affect how a rabbit stands and moves, get snagged or torn, and lead to painful injuries. When we see rabbits come in with nails that clearly haven’t been trimmed in many, many months (or years). No sugarcoating it: that’s neglect.

The good news? You don’t have to be the villain!

Bring your bun to Dolly’s Dream Store anytime during our open hours. Nail trims are $10 for non-alums and completely free for Dolly’s alums, because once a Dolly’s bunny, always a Dolly’s bunny.

No appointment necessary. Hand us your angry little velociraptor, let them hate us for 5 minutes, and then take them home with beautifully trimmed nails.

You get all the credit.

We accept all the grudges.

Meet one of the bravest patients we’ve had the pleasure of caring for. ❤️🐾

At only 7 months old, this sweet puppy was abandoned with a broken leg. Although his journey has been anything but easy, he continues to greet everyone with a wagging tail and a happy heart.

A big part of his recovery has been routine bandage changes. These visits are essential to monitor the healing process, keep the injury clean, reduce the risk of infection, and ensure his bandage continues to provide the proper support as his leg heals. While bandage changes can be uncomfortable or stressful for many patients, this handsome boy has been nothing short of amazing.

He patiently sits through each appointment, happily accepts treats and affection from our team, and reminds us every visit just how resilient animals can be. His sweet personality and trusting nature have made him a staff favorite, and we couldn’t be prouder of the progress he’s making.

We’re cheering him on every step of the way as he continues his healing journey. He has a bright future ahead, and we can’t wait to see him back on all four paws. 💙

Not every happy ending starts with a happy beginning. ❤️

About a month ago, this sweet kitty was found as a stray and given a second chance at life. Recently, her new owners noticed she wasn’t feeling well and brought her to our clinic. We suspected pyometra—a life-threatening infection of the uterus that requires emergency surgery.

Thankfully, she received the care she needed and is now on the road to recovery! 🐾

Pyometra is a medical emergency that affects intact female cats and dogs. Signs can include lethargy, decreased appetite, vomiting, increased thirst, or vaginal discharge—but sometimes the signs are subtle. Prompt veterinary care can make all the difference.

We’re so grateful this little girl found a family who recognized something was wrong and got her the help she needed. Stories like hers remind us that spaying doesn’t just prevent unwanted litters—it can save lives.
