This is how our gal Octavia hangs out at adoption events waiting to be noticed! 8 years old and 100 lbs! She's loves meeting people and playing with toys!

We know she's not little or young but she is very deserving of a forever home. She's been waiting for a few years now. 🥹

She is located in Saint Louis, Missouri.

My friend will pay Harley’s adoption fee for you!
He lost the only pet parent he’s ever known since he was 6 weeks old, and he’s now 14yo. His human mum passed away, and now he’s confused, grieving, and frightened in a shelter 💔.
Sharing this post is also helping!

Urgent Plea for Help: Meet McDreamy🐾

Dear friends and animal lovers,

We want to share with you an update about our special 7-year-old senior German Shepherd named McDreamy. For the past seven years, McDreamy has known the love and companionship of his human, who has been placed in hospice care. Since this life-changing event, McDreamy has found himself in a shelter environment, struggling to adjust and cope with the loss of his beloved owner.

It breaks our hearts to see McDreamy in distress. He may be hesitant around new people, particularly men, but we’ve seen glimpses of his gentle spirit with our male caretakers and male volunteers who have been able to walk him. Unfortunately, the shelter environment is overwhelming, limiting his time outside to just 10-15 minutes in the morning and afternoon. With only some toys to keep him company, McDreamy is feeling the weight of his loneliness and confusion.

McDreamy arrived at the shelter in May 2024 and spent nearly two months in a loving foster home before returning to the shelter. During his time in foster care, he proved to be patient and is crate trained. He is also potty trained and loves to play fetch! Despite these wonderful qualities, he is currently on medication to help him adjust mentally, but what he truly needs is a loving home where he can feel safe again.

We are reaching out to experienced German Shepherd owners who can provide the patience and care that McDreamy deserves. He is incredibly smart, but he’s also frustrated and stressed, yearning for a connection with someone who understands his needs.

If you or someone you know could offer McDreamy a chance at a new beginning, please email us at [email protected].

Your support can make all the difference in his life! ❤️

Weekend Roundup! Today is M'Lynn's 470th day in the shelter, making her the current longest resident in our adult cat area. At just two years old, that means she's been here for more than half her life. People are sleeping on a phenomenal cat here!
She is very cat-friendly and dog-friendly. She's got a gentle, sensitive soul. She's brilliant.
M'Lynn has made so much progress since coming to the shelter. She's like that kid who teaches herself to play violin using a beat-up instrument they rescued from the trash. She can learn a lot and have all the promise in the world, but she can only go so far on that. If she suddenly gains access to a good tutor and a high-quality instrument, she may grow by leaps and bounds.
That's where M'Lynn is. She's come a long way with what she's got, but finding a home of her own could make SUCH a difference! You could be the maestro that makes M'Lynn legendary.
Right now, M'Lynn will follow you, hang out with you, talk to you, play with you, and take treats from you. She enjoys human company and is curious about being loved. She's just not ready to let strangers pet her yet. With your help, though, she'll get there!
Come out and give M'Lynn a chance. Her adoption fee is sponsored by a donor who wants to see her have a great life, so she'd be a no-fee adoption!
