Just Jump It Horseback Arts Step into the world of horseback riding in a positive & supportive setting. Vault to Your Potential! Just Jump It!

Our program welcomes beginner through intermediate riders & focuses on growing confidence, mastering essential riding & horsemanship skills, & developing a bond with horses. Bareback Arts is a compilation of horse vaulting, bareback riding, trick riding, and more. This program is designed to help improve one's balance, confidence, coordination, suppleness, grace, and strength. Instructor: Katherine Haefner

Safety Certified Gymnastics Coach and USPC C3 Member

Katherine has been a passionate horse woman for a number of years. In the past few years, she has advanced through the United States Pony Club levels achieving a national level in both riding and horse management, C3. Katherine is also a safety certified gymnastics coach and Ninja instructor. She directs a youth Ninja warrior program and has competed in season 10 and 11 of the show "American Ninja Warrior". Katherine has trained with a 2nd generation, circus performer, Carlos Sevensson. It is through him that she realized that her gymnastic and equestrian training came together in beautiful harmony!

Laurel came to Coach Kat feeling skittish and uncomfortable with having her legs touched. Since arriving at Just Jump It!, she has been learning to trust human touch and feel more comfortable with it.

We don’t know what experiences shaped her reactions, but with patience and gentle handling, we’re helping her learn to trust, one step at a time.

If you’ve ridden a horse before, you know how empowering it is just to be on one. Coach Kat remembers the confidence and courage she feels when she trusts a horse enough to stand on its back.

At Just Jump It!, we strive to build each individual’s confidence and help them feel empowered to tackle whatever comes their way.

Miss Laurel chilling with a tarp. This was Coach Kat’s first time seeing how Laurel felt about it and she did quite well!

Coach Kat loves to expose horses to different “Weird” things to help them be safer for their handlers.

Horses are prey animals and horses that are not acclimated to “weird” things can spook and endanger their handler. Coach Kat feels it’s better to help them learn about “weird” things in safe environments before they’re taken off guard by something out and about.

Maybe we need to start a comedy circus act. 🤔 Madi gave us all a needed laugh. She is working towards her vault onto the horse. I can say she successfully did vault on! Did I mention, Sylvie is a saint? ❤️

In horsemanship, the students learned and practiced braiding! Working with yarn gave them a chance to learn the pattern before trying it on a horse’s mane or tail. Each student took home yarn to keep practicing.

Horse care involves so many little skills, and it’s fun watching our students build their skills!

The Tuesday group had some fun learning relay races on horseback! These games are a great way to work on steering, control, teamwork, and confidence while working together as a team.
