Beary important wins for Kallu’s health! 🐻‍❄️ Zoo staff are collaborating with local veterinary specialists to keep our resident polar bear Kallu looking and feeling his best.

🦷 While extracting a fractured tooth, we discovered Kallu needed a root canal on one of his canine teeth. Working in collaboration with Mizzou College of Veterinary Medicine's dentistry team, Animal Health staff successfully performed the complex root canal and saved Kallu’s canine!

🔎 Staff also consulted with Missouri Veterinary Dermatology to investigate thinning of Kallu’s fur. After an allergy skin test, we found no evidence of environmental allergies, meaning Kallu can safely begin treatment to help his coat regrow!

Get ready to travel back in time! Dinoroarus returns to the Zoo starting Friday, June 19. 🦖

This all-ages attraction will feature 20 animatronic dinosaurs and sculptures that move, roar, spit and chomp their way through Historic Hill. On this prehistoric journey, guests will discover science-backed dino facts, explore theories on mass extinction and learn practical ways to protect today’s animals from the same fate.

Tickets must be purchased in-person at Zoo entrances or any attraction ticket booth. Dinoroarus admission is $5.95 per person for ages 2 and up (free for children ages 0-23 months). Dinoroarus is included in Zoo Member Tickets and the Zoo Adventure Pass. Learn more at stlzoo.org/dino.

Holy sheep! How cute are these lambs? 😍

Some lucky guests met our two newest residents during a special demonstration of the sheep feeding opportunities coming to Henry A. Jubel Foundation Destination Discovery. You'll meet these lambs and their flock when the Zoo’s new experience for children and families opens later this year! 🐑
