❤️ Meet Freesia— A Special Dog Who Has Worked So Hard and Is Ready for Her Next Chapter ❤️
She came to us from Safe Animal Shelter Safe Animal Shelter Fundraiser Trail Run
When she came into our care, she needed time, patience, structure, and someone willing to see the amazing dog underneath the uncertainty. Over the past several weeks, we have watched her transform into a confident, loving, and truly special companion — and we couldn’t be more proud of her progress.
Freesia is approximately 2.5 years old and has made incredible strides in learning how to navigate the world. If you know her story, one of the biggest changes we have seen is her ability to self-regulate. She has learned that she doesn’t always have to be “on.” She now knows how to settle, relax, cuddle, and simply enjoy being comfortable in her environment. Watching her learn how to truly relax has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.
She is a smart, athletic, eager-to-please dog who thrives when she has structure, activity, and a relationship with her people.
🐾 Excellent progress with house manners
🐾 Fully crate trained with no current issues
🐾 Improving recall and basic obedience skills
🐾 Successfully living with multiple dogs after proper introductions
🐾 Learning to be comfortable around new people
🐾 Loves toys, playtime, and engaging activities
🐾 Enjoys learning new things and taking on new challenges
We have introduced her to several activities, including dock diving, Fast CAT, and scent work. She has impressed us with how quickly she learns and how much she enjoys trying new things. She is the type of dog who wants to have a purpose and be included in her family’s life.
This puppy is a true velcro dog — she loves her people and will happily be your shadow. She enjoys being involved in whatever you are doing and would make an amazing companion for someone looking for a loyal, active partner.
We believe she would do best with an active to semi-active family who understands the importance of continued training, structure, and positive experiences. A home without young children would be best, as she is still unsure and uncomfortable around younger kids. Older children may be a better fit.
At this point, we feel she is ready to start meeting potential adopters. We will continue working with her and with her future family to help ensure a smooth transition and give everyone the tools needed for success.
Freesia has come so far, and we know her perfect family is out there. She isn’t looking for just any home — she’s looking for a family who will continue to help her thrive and who will appreciate what an incredible dog she is.
If you think Freesia might be the companion you’ve been looking for, please reach out. ❤️
