Bella here is dropping in to remind you - we are OPEN today from 1-6!

In an effort to place as many pets in homes as possible during the busy summer months, from now until Labor Day, Five Acres will be open to the public seven days a week:

Monday - Friday, 1:00 - 6:00
Saturday - Sunday, 11:00 - 5:00

Velma and Daphne are ready to solve the mystery of finding their forever home… could it be with you? 🔍

At nearly 7 months old and around 45 pounds each, these sweet girls are growing into their personalities more every day. When they first arrived at Five Acres, Velma and Daphne were a bit shy and unsure—but with time, patience, and love, their confidence has been blossoming.

These two would thrive in a home with another friendly, confident dog who can show them the ropes and help them continue to come out of their shells. With the right canine companion and a little encouragement, Velma and Daphne are sure to become loyal, loving members of the family.

Bonnie and Trixie are the Petfinder.com Pets of the Week, featured on KMOV! 🤩

You may recognize these smiling faces from when they first arrived at Five Acres. At the time, we shared that they had been found living in a 5x5 crate and would need some medical care before becoming available for adoption.

Bonnie and Trixie both have some weakness in their back legs and some vision challenges, but after many different tests and consultations, we determined they were likely just born this way, and expect their condition won't worsen over time.

Due to their condition, talking to them and keeping furniture in consistent places will help them feel safe and comfortable in a new home. Trixie is also easily startled, so would benefit from a calmer home and a slow intro into her new environment.

They may not be star athletes (we say they don't really go on walks, they go on "wobbles") but they are more than ready to enjoy happy, loving lives in a home of their own. 🏠❤️

Come visit them at Five Acres and see for yourself just how much love these sweet girls have to give. 💗 They are each around 25 pounds and 10 months old. To help make space for incoming animals, Five Acres is offering a Name Your Own Fee adoption special all weekend long. All dogs and cats over 6 months old are eligible! 😸🐶

If you’ve been thinking about adding a furry family member, now is the time. Help us give these amazing pets the loving homes they deserve while creating much-needed space in the shelter.

Lottie came to us with her kittens, but now all of her babies have grown up and been adopted ❤️

These days, she’s lovingly nicknamed “Mama Lottie” because she LOVES every cat she meets and will happily groom them whenever she gets the chance. Her current adopted “kitten” is Marigold — a 7-month-old who loves cozy cat tree snuggles with her.

Lottie may not have any teeth, but that doesn’t slow her down one bit. She’s truly one of the sweetest, most loving girls you’ll ever meet.

We need to add more foster families to our Kitten Foster Squad!

Kitten season is in full swing, and we are receiving multiple requests every day to bring in kittens. The number we are able to take in depends on the available fosters we have - so to welcome more kittens, we need YOU!

More foster families = More kittens saved

Join us this Saturday, May 30th to learn more about becoming a kitten foster and how you can help the next litter of kittens in need. Fostering is completely free, and everything you need is provided by Five Acres.
