MEET KING COOPER: Handsome. Charming. Slightly tyrannical. 👑

At 22 pounds, Cooper may be small in stature, but he has the confidence of a king. He is a guy who walks into a room and immediately assumes he owns it. And honestly? We’re not entirely sure he’s wrong.

He’s got the good looks, the attitude, and the charm to make you fall head-over-heels for him. The catch? Cooper likes things his way.

Independent? Absolutely. Opinionated? Without question. We’re pretty sure he led a small army of Shih Tzus in a past life.

But underneath that big personality is a guy who loves his people and bonds quickly. He enjoys attention… right up until he decides he’s had enough. And when Cooper is done? You’d better be done too. He is, after all, in charge.

He also enjoys having a canine companion—especially if they’re comparable in size, because there are standards for his army. And he LOVES car rides, which is a little confusing considering that’s one place where he definitely isn’t in charge.

Cooper would do best in an adult-only home with someone who will appreciate his quirks, respect his boundaries, and laugh at his antics.

He’s not looking for just anyone. He’s looking for his people—the ones who will appreciate the wonderfully weird little character that he is. ❤️

This sweet 3-year-old girl has been through so much. Dee Lulu was found dumped outside of Five Acres with her four kittens. After working hard to raise her babies, she’s ready for something she’s been waiting for: a loving home of her own.

Dee Lulu LOVES attention and isn’t shy about asking for it! She’ll roll around, shimmy, and happily let you know exactly how she’s feeling. She’s the kind of girl who wants to be part of your world and will make a wonderful, loving companion.

Tuna has been one busy girl lately! This sweet 1-year-old has been able to join volunteers on multiple outings and playdates, and she has been the BEST girl for all of it. She’s gone for walks in the park, visited Home Depot, and enjoyed plenty of playtime with her favorite toys.

What makes Tuna so special is her personality. She is sweet, smart, loving, and playful — the perfect combination for someone looking for a fun young dog who also knows how to be a total sweetheart. She loves getting out and exploring, but she’s just as happy spending time with her people and enjoying her favorite toys.

Tuna does well around other dogs when she’s out and about, but when it comes to home, she would prefer to be your one-and-only pet. She likes keeping her people and her special toys all to herself, and she’s ready to have a family she can call completely her own. 🏡 💕

Tuna has so much love to give. She’s fun, affectionate, and ready for someone to make her a permanent part of their family.

Meet Marge & Rhett, two 3.5-year-old FeLV-positive sweethearts who are bonded and need to be adopted together. After spending time in foster care, we’ve learned just how special this pair is!

Both Marge and Rhett are incredibly sweet. They love to cuddle with you, snuggle up together, and, of course, enjoy some playtime! They’re the kind of companions who will fill your home with love.

Winnie the… CUTIE PIE! 🐝🍯

Golden like honey and just as sweet, Winnie is the kind of dog who makes you wonder how she’s still waiting for her forever home. 💛

At just 1 year old, Winnie is crate trained, dog friendly, playful, and full of personality. She’s somehow become one of our LONGEST-STAYING residents, and we truly don’t understand how!

Winnie is a 56-pound, energetic girl, so we think she’d do best in a home with older kids who are ready for her playful spirit.

And if you need even more proof that Winnie is special… she’s a FIREHOUSE FAVORITE! 🚒❤️ Winnie has had tons of successful overnight stays with our local firefighters and is absolutely beloved by everyone she meets there.

THIS SUNDAY!!!

We were so LUCKY to be chosen as the benefiting organization for this year’s Run for the Dogs Lucky Dog 5K, and we couldn’t be more excited! 🧡🍀

Lace up for the pups and join us on Sunday, September 6 at 9 AM at Queeny Park for a fun morning celebrating our four-legged friends and helping all of the pets here at Five Acres along the way! 🐶🐱

Whether you’re a runner, a walker, or just want to spend the morning with your pup, this event is for you! Dogs are welcome to participate alongside their humans, and there will be plenty of fun for everyone.

Skye's Firehouse Report Card: A+ 🐾🚒

Skye, our 3-year-old sweetheart, spent some time at the firehouse, and the firefighters had nothing but wonderful things to say about her!

“Skye is such a gorgeous girl! And she’s so sweet. She had a great time here. She loved playing fetch and chasing her toy ball. She did great while we were gone every time, too. She climbed up for some snuggles and even took herself a nap during the day. She was sure to check out every chair to find her favorite. And she is so soft! She’s a great dog, and we hope she finds a family to love her as much as she would love them.”

This sweet girl is playful, affectionate, and apparently an expert at finding the coziest chair in the house. 😉 She has so much love to give and is ready to find the family (and a chair) she can call her own. ❤️
