Welcome to Homestead and Home! I’m Matthew, an outdoor loving, hardworking husband and father of 4. I was born into the farm life, shadowing my grandfather and father on the tractor seat beside them. As I grew, more and more of the responsibilities of that 1500 acre dairy farm passed on to me. It was there that my love of farming was planted. I’ve held several other jobs through the years, each of which have added to my skill set. I’ve worked in defense manufacturing for nearly 10 years, served as a Navy Reservist for 14 years, drove school bus and even spent some time as a corrections officer. In my free time, I’m usually building something, whether that’s house projects or farm projects, I’ve done a little bit of everything. I currently manage my own 40 acre homestead and ranch hand part time on a 600+ acre cattle ranch. Whether you need to getaway, want something done off your project list, looking for a farm hand, or anything in between, I hope you will consider Homestead and Home for whatever your need may be!
